We were just one week too early before the lavender fully blossoms. But it doesn't mean we didn't enjoy ourselves. Our tour guide has a strong passion of her work is enthusiastic.

This trip was such great value! The driver kept us informed and amused with his stories and information during our drive. We were able to walk through the lavender which was such a joy. Seeing the still rustic and traditional 'processing' building felt like a step back int time._br/_ So worth it, in fact i would do it again.

Remi did a splendid job as our guide. He presented interesting information, took us to lavender farms, a beautiful Abby, and 2 gorgeous villages. The scenery en route was just amazing! Great way to see Provence in 5 hours.

I have offered this trip to my sister as a gift while she was visiting several cities in Provence. She loved Provence, but this trip is, she said, the absolute highlight of the whole stay. She says that the guide Nicholas was the coolest guy ever, putting all the participants at their ease telling a lot of interesting facts about lavender and the region and wine and traditions etc etc._br/_ The trip was also very well organized in terms of time and places visited._br/_ Thank you for making this present a very good one!

My wife and I went for the afternoon tour. The driver / guide was late which he said was not a fault of his own. We had to wait a while at the designated meeting place. It was a rush-rush thing because 2 in our group had to be back in time to catch their train schedule. They made it time but was rather inconvenient for us who expected better...

Excellent tour. Our tour representative was very informative and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to show us things of interest and was amenable when we requested a stop in Sault, knew where all the best lavender fields were and even though he must have taken so many photos of lavender fields for tourists he took them for us with no sign of boredom. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip, made even better by good company and pleasant driver.

We have enjoyed the tour very much. Our guide, Jean Paul, was very competent and entertaining. During the tour he provided us with exiting facts related to the past and present of this beautiful part of France, without letting us being overwhelmed._br/_ The tour was well structured and with timely departure and arrival. The van for eight passengers was very comfortable and air conditioned, which was especially pleasant on a hot summer day._br/_ We took ahold a day trip. Armed with this experience we are looking forward to coming back and taking a longer at least one day tour, which would allow us to to spend more time enjoying the lavender fields and charming villages.

I LOVED this tour! It was amazing to see the lavender fields in their glory. We also stopped and saw a couple of towns. Our tour guide recommended that we try lavender ice cream- it was delicious! My only caution would be that if you are also taking the Provence grand tour there is some overlap between sites.

The lavender fields were beautiful, as were the villages of Gordes and Roussillon. Absolutely picture-perfect! The guide was very nice and very informative. I do want to point out though that, even though our confirmation had the pickup location as our hotel, no one picked us up there. Our hotel called the tour company and they told us we were supposed to go to the Hotel de Ville. Luckily, it was only 50 meters away, otherwise we could have missed the whole tour. Another detail is that the description said that the afternoon tour included a visit of the museum in Coustellet but the tour guide said that was not included. Ok by us because we didn't have our hearts set on going to the museum, but this may be important for other travelers. Oh, and the visit of Gordes is not really a visit but rather a photo stop standing on the outskirts of it. Undoubtedly the prettiest picture you can take of the village, but still, it should be pointed out to travelers in the tour description that you don't actually go inside the village. In spite of all this, this tour still merits the 5 star because it is an amazing excursion.

We really enjoyed this tour. Even this is at the end of the Lavender season, but we got to see the harvest, the distill process and especially smelled the nice fragrant in the field.

Even though it was very late in the season, our driver took us right to fields of still-blooming lavender. We learned a lot from our driver, not only about lavender, but about Provence In general. I highly recommend this tour.

views were as promised, but tour was almost fully in a van at least 3.5 hours of just driving. thought we would have time to sit in the city and enjoy it for a bit, but only had 10 minutes. the museum wasn't really a museum, not sure what the ticket price went towards.

We had a great time on this tour. The scenery in the Provence region is breathtaking, and our tour guide Anna was really knowledgeable about the area. The reason we gave this 4 stars instead on 5, was because we felt that there wasn't enough free time out of the van._br/_ Also, to any one who experience motion sickness: make sure to take anti-nausea medication. The mountain roads were really twisty!

This tour is an excellent way to see the lavender fields. It's much easier than driving yourself as the guide knew exactly where to go to find the fields which were in flower at that time, meaning there were lots of photo opportunities. He was very knowledgeable, telling us all about the different types of lavender and the distillation process. It was also interesting to be able to visit the farm where they extract the lavender oil. The transport was comfortable and air conditioned and we were collected from right outside the hotel. The morning tour is a good choice to avoid the afternoon heat.

Visiting three different lavender fields was fantastic! However, information from the tour guide regarding the area, the village of Sault and Gordes was lacking. We visited Sault for less than 30 min to mostly rest and eat lunch which was not nearly enough to explore the area. We only saw Gordes from a distance for about only 5 minutes to take photos. I realize the possibility that many tourists might have enjoyed the Lavender Museum, yet, to me and my friend, it felt more of a marketing gimmick, especially since it consisted of only three rooms the third room being a shop selling lavender products, overpriced skincare, etc.... Nevertheless, I would still recommend this tour to anyone who does not have the option of renting a car in the area to visit the lavender fields in their own time. Completely amazed at the beauty of miles and miles of nothing but lavender! :

It was a perfect day and a perfect time to visit the lavender fields. We saw lavender that was blooming, recently harvested and the sheaves of harvested lavender. The tour guide knew all about the lavender as well as the sights on the trip to the lavender fields.

Our guide Julien was very helpful, nice, funny and knowledgeable of the area. He took us to the best looking lavender fields, and even made a photo stop in Gordes even though it wasn't on his list. He was also very helpful in giving tips about other places to visit in Avignon and the tour was very agreeable.

Nice tour of Lavender fields. Although it was early in the season we were able to stop at 4 fields that were picture worthy. Also stopped in Roussillon a lovely little village. Tour guide was very pleasant. A good half day tour,.

7 out of ten. Late being picked up. Driver not very informative. No time in villages. Always pressured to hurry back to van. Would prefer less time at museum and more time in villages.

Erica did a great job of balancing time in the lavender fields and time in the village market in Gordes. The fields were beautiful and she provided thorough descriptions of the history of the region and of the lavender growing process. Highly recommend!

The lavender fields were beautiful, the guide was knowledgeable and pleasant. On the way out, she gave us a good idea of the history and geography of Avignon and surroundings. The visit to Rousillon and Luberon were very interesting. The guide was very helpful telling us what to look out for and what we could buy. However, some of her time on the way back was taken up by the trainee guide who was with her. The vehicle was substandard, only 4 of the 8 seats were comfortable and the AC was not working on a hot day. We did not insist on a change of vehicle since our time in Avignon was short. We definitely did not get our money's worth on the vehicle. The company should not take advantage of tourists who have only a limited time in the place, a better vehicle should have been provided.

The tour guide is fine but the tour plan is a bit loose. Didn't expect much and certainly didn't get much out of it. Air con on minivan didn't work properly meaning that sitting at the back it's better off to just open the windows.

The Leader of the group was very in experienced. He was very young and charming but quite unsure of himself! The whole tour felt rushed. Not enough time anywhere we went. Some History was given but again the inexperience was present.

Due to the lavender season being early in 2015 a lot of the fields had already been harvested when we were there but our guide, Julien, took us to two fields which were still blooming and beautiful - one of which had a spectacular view of the village of Aurel as a backdrop._br/_ We had a half hour stop in the village of Sault just long enough to buy some lavender based gifts at a better price than we would have found them in Avignon._br/_ As we had not hired a car during our stay in Avignon, this tour gave us the opportunity to see some of the countryside and mountains in the area.

I really loved the lavender fields, but our driver Mark was maybe already very tired as he had 2 trips in the morning before our afternoon trip.He was informing a bit about the place but mostly silent during our long driving...he replied when asked.I was not so happy of the places he stopped for taking fotos.

Too much time at the lavender museum partly because of the tour listening to the commentary on lavender oils processing was too long and detailed. Would be good to go to Sault and the hilly areas to see the real lavender and compare with the lavandin/hybrids.

The tour was great! We went the end of June and the lavender fields were in pretty good bloom. We visited 3 different fields during this tour along with a stop at an old castle town. The lavender fields weren't as large as I imagined I was hoping for huge fields as far as the eye can see. These were smaller, but still nice nonetheless. One thing I wish I knew about the fields was that each lavender bush is like a mini bee hive. There are a ton of bees around and if you're scared of bees like I am, taking pictures in the rows of lavender bushes was quite the feat!

Very disappointed! The pick up was late for 30mins with no prior notification. Second, the tour guide didn't tell us the itinerary of the day at all. Third, we were taken to 1 lavender field only, instead of "fields" as stated. Last, we spent 3 hours out of 5 in traffic. Totally not worth 136USD.

It was a nice tour and allowed us to see the lavender fields and the museum. Our guide was open to suggestions, we all wanted to visit the fields first because of weather (it was suppose to rain later in the day). The air wasn't working in the car. _br/_ Thank you

Viator operated very efficiently but the Tour Company left a lot to be desired. We stood at the meeting place for more than an hour with no contact made by them as to what was happening and why they were late. The guide did the very minimum, fortunately I only wanted to see the Lavender in bloom as I have stayed in the area in the off season. There was very little offered by him.
