Enjoy a half-day tour in the town originally called Aquae Sextiae in the 1st Century B.C. : Aix en Provence. With your tour guide you will appreciate the so-called « Aix » famous for its history, architecture and arts, especially thanks to the painter Paul Cezanne, native from the town.

You will be picked up at your hotel in Avignon in the afternoon. Board your comfortable vehicle and take the road to Aix en Provence. In the heights of Aix, you will stop at the « Terrasses des Peintres », to admire the amazing view on the Mountain Sainte-Victoire, painted hundred times by Cezanne.

You will then reach the historical center of Aix for a walking tour from the Cours Mirabeau to the Cathedral Saint-Sauveur. Walking through the town you will discover the beauty of this place: the architecture from the 17th and 18th centuries with the various private mansions, the famous Cours Mirabeau lined with plane trees and the charming squares decorated with fountains.

During your free time, do not miss the opportunity to taste the local specialty 'Calisson', cooked for the first time on the wedding day of the last king of Provence : King Rene and Queen Joan, or have a fresh drink in the oldest Café of Aix “Les deux Garçons”, frequented by Cézanne at that time.
