You’ll take a guided base tour of Uluru, the red sandstone monolith also known as Ayers Rock, and learn about Uluru’s importance to the Australian Aborigines at the Uluru–Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Experience the unforgettable sight of Uluru lighting up at sunset and sunrise, and dine under the stars at the Sounds of Silence dinner. Day 1: Sounds of Silence Dinner (D) On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you will be transferred to your hotel. This afternoon is at your leisure. In the evening dine under a million stars at the award winning Sounds of Silence dinner. Enjoy a gourmet buffet of Australian delicacies accompanied by fine Australian wines, then sit back and relax as an astronomer takes you on a tour of the Southern Night skies (weather permitting).
Overnight: Ayers Rock Accommodation
Day 2: Uluru (Ayers Rock) & Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) Rise early this morning to travel to the Uluru sunrise viewing area. Watch the first rays of the sun set the Red Centre alight while enjoying a warming cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Then travel to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta. On the way enjoy panoramic views of the southern side of Kata Tjuta before arriving at the base of Walpa Gorge. Spend some time exploring the gorge and the unusual conglomerate rock formations. The walking trail through Walpa Gorge follows the natural creek between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuta.
This afternoon travel around the base of Uluru in comfort as your Driver Guide provides informative commentary about the numerous sacred sites and geographical features to be found at Uluru. Continue by coach to the Kuniya Walk where your Driver Guide will escort you to the beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole. View Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the area as your Driver Guide points out native flora and explains the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru. Later visit the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, where you can learn about Aboriginal culture and purchase Aboriginal arts and crafts.
In the late afternoon, travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Witness the striking colour changes of Uluru at sunset while enjoying canapés and a complimentary glass of wine.
Optional Aussie BBQ Dinner After sunset, a guide will transfer you to the barbecue site. The site is within the Uluru National Park, outside the Uluru & Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre set amongst red sand dunes and desert oak trees providing a peaceful desert setting. Once at the site, you will be served a variety of Australian meats and salads, accompanied by a glass of sparkling wine, beer or orange juice (menus are subject to change). After dinner, you will be served tea, coffee and dessert and your guide will conduct a tour of the night sky, describing and pointing out some of the visible constellations with the assistance of a high beam spotlight (weather permitting).
Overnight: Ayers Rock Accommodation
Day 3: Uluru (Ayers Rock) This morning there is time available for an optional scenic helicopter flight or perhaps a Harley Davidson ride around Uluru. Today you will be transferred from your hotel to Ayers Rock Airport for your onward flight.
It is a very exciting experience! Love the beautiful views of Uluru and Kata Tjuta domes and gorges. Sunrise and Sunset views are great too. We were lucky enough that on our sunset view, there was a Rainbow at Uluru!

AAT Kings tour was excellent from airport pick-up to the quality of the hotel Sails in the Desert, the tour guides and commentary to the incredible sites of Uluru and Katya Tjuta. The Sounds of Silence Dinner with the excellent stargazing show was also a highlight.

A remarkable area with two unique and very different land formations. It was a bit cloudy the first night so that the sun setting on Uluru was not much, but the sunset itself was spectacular on the wispy clouds. Similarly, the next sunrise was affected by the clouds, but the evening sunset was excellent. We were hoping for a spectacular star viewing opportunity but the clouds and the full moon shut out most of the stars._br/_ We stayed at the Outback Pioneer Hotel. It is somewhat basic with cinder block walls but the room was comfortable and very adequate. Just a note, most of the tours require you to carry a liter of water each, so saving empty plastic bottles to refill could save a few dollars on water costs.

Uluru is breathtaking. We are so grateful to the tour guides! They taught us so much about this very sacred place and showed us amazing places to experience the beauty. We are traveling with our teenagers and they were also amazed as well. Truly an amazing and unforgettable experience.

Everything was so well organized. The Sounds of Silence Dinner was certainly one of the highlights. We loved the sunset more than the sunrise at Uluru, but are glad we have seen both. The colour changing of the rock is something you have to see !! Thank you AAT Kings and Viator to make our trip so amazing !!

This is an excursion not to be missed. Although my credential were late in getting to me, the tour company was very helpful. Rooms at the Desert Sails we're ok, being on second floor, with no lift, was a challenge._br/_ The Sounds of Silence Dinner was excellent. Would highly recommend.

the tours of the Rock and especially the Starlight dinner were lovely the staff were friendly and attentive, loved our accommodation at the Outback Pioneer, we had a pizza one night and dinner in the restaurant the second night. Lots of options. Amazing flowers in the desert after the recent rain.

A great trip. The tours and accommodation were very well organised, with funny, knowledgeable tour guides and friendly Desert Garden staff. The only comment I have is that on Day 2 it seemed like a full day tour from how it was described on the website, rather than two half day tours, so I thought we would stay at Uluru and be able to explore on our own for a bit, but instead we were ferried back after the group activities and had a few hours to kill before we were driven to Kata Tjuta. It was only clear once we received the itinerary on arrival at the airport. Besides that, I highly recommend the 3 day experience. I had limited time to spend there, so this tour package was ideal. I also took a helicopter ride on the last morning and recommend this as the perfect way to end the trip.
