Mt Conner is situated on a vast, fully operational, privately owned cattle station, called Curtin Springs Station. While the dams on the property were constructed for watering cattle, here you will find the perfect natural habitat for red kangaroos and a vast array of birds and reptiles of the Red Centre.
You will discover an ancient inland salt lake and learn about the European history of the region. While you enjoy a glass of sparkling wine, you will be captivated by the spectacular changing colors of sunset over Mt Conner before returning to relish a three-course outback dinner prepared by the cook at Curtin Springs Station.
The guide was very good, but I'm don't feel the scenery was worth the time and cost. The whole experience would have been elevated by a good dinner. You would think that a Cattle Station ranch could select and cook a great steak. Not so. A poor cut of beef, cooked in a frying pan does make for a good experience. Add in flies and sitting outside with no breeze, dinner was a dud. Maybe this tour should be a two star.

The tour guide was excellent. Favourite part of this tour was the salt lake. Would have been great to walk around the base of the rock. Dinner was very good.

Although we had expected to get near Mount Connor, we did not. The sunset was not as beautiful as Uluru . It was more of a photographer's trip so if you did not bring your camera equipment, it can get boring. We did stop to see a few animals but that was about it.
