Enjoy bird’s-eye views of the Canadian Rockies as you soar high above in a helicopter. Fly over the plains of Bow Valley and snap up-close shots of Mt Lougheed’s three summit peaks drizzled in snow. An experienced pilot shares the history of the region as you absorb the incredible scenery. This 20-minute flight is a dazzling way to take in sights during your stay in Banff. Start with easy pickup from your Banff hotel at a time of your choice, and head to the Canmore heliport located near the Stoney Nakoda Resort and Casino. After checking in, meet your pilot and receive a brief introduction to helicopter safety. Then board your helicopter and take off! During the 20-minute flight, listen to commentary about the sights from your pilot through your two-way headset.
Soon, you’re in the heart of the Canadian Rocky mountains and cruising at a speed of 100 miles (161 km) per hour. Admire the surrounding mountains while you soar over Bow Valley, and learn about the First Nations people in the area.
Cross over the impressive massif of Mt Lougheed, which has three summits, the tallest one at 10,187 feet (3,105 meters). Capture aerial views of its narrow ledges covered in snow, and check out the adjacent Wind Mountain, with an even higher elevation.
Then enjoy a smooth flight back to the helipad. When you land, your tour ends with hotel drop-off.
We had our helicopter tour postponed until the following day, due to the weather conditions, but it was really worth it as the weather was so much better the next day and we had were able to take lots of fabulous photos. It was my first trip in a helicopter, but my husband had been up in one before. Absolutely awsome!!

From the moment of walking in to the registration office, we were treated as special guests._br/_ It amazed me to be assisted on an off the heli! The pilot gave us great information and explained so many extras that made it seem richer than we expected. Of course the Rockies are majestic, but up close and from the top was beyond words. After slight confusion regarding our hotel pick up the tour was fabulous. The pilot and his assistant were very informative regarding the sights and points of interest . I would definitely recommend this trip for a birds eye view of the mountains .

Loved it. First time in a helicopter and even with a little bit of turbulence little according to the pilot we loved the tour. We opted for the 30 minute flight. Taking us down the side of the rockies down to lake MInnewanka and back up the Bow Valley. The time flew sorry for the pun by.

Worth every penny! Darren was a great pilot and tour guide. It was a very clear day with calm winds. The van ride was also very interesting with our Native American driver giving us a history lesson on the way to the heliport.

We were a little worried that the weather was going to cancel our flight but it cleared up just in time. The trip was a great adventure from start to finish, the pick up from Banff was great and a very friendly guy, even though he is afraid of heights and flying._br/_
The base is really nice, hot and cold drinks and nibbles provided. We didn't wait long to be shown to our helicopter and introduced to the pilot, he was lovely and very informative, I was a little worried when he said he had only been flying for 18 months but I had no need to worry._br/_
The flight was good there was only the 3 of us family and the pilot aboard, had fantastic views._br/_
I thoroughly recommend this trip we did the 30 minute one and it was well worth the money.

The pick up was on time and the driver a very nice guy who told us a lot about his First Nations culture which was great. At the helicopter airport, all was well organised. The trip was wonderful. The only downside, is that the airport is a long way out, hence flying time is limited. I would suggest taking the longest flight time trip to take in more.

Was the best thing ever, it was hit and miss wether we were going to be able to go due to wind conditions, and the pilot did have to change the route we took, which was a bit unfortunate but still very well worth doing, and we appreciated that it was for our safety this was done. There were 5 seats available for passengers. When I boarded the helicopter there were only rear facing seats remaining. Therefore, for the 20 minute sightseeing flight I could not see forward. That would be OK if the purpose of the flight was transportation. only. However, I paid for a sightseeing flight, not a transportation flight. Therefore I didn't get what I paid for.
