Backstreets of Bangkok Bicycle Tour
Bangkok, Thailand
Experience a different side of Bangkok that takes you away from the busy noisy city center and visit places that is almost impossible to find without a local guide. During the trip you will visit Bangkok's largest fresh food market and also the floating marked in the area of Phra Pradaeng also known as the lung of Bangkok. Climb on your bike and follow your guide through the busy narrow streets of Bangkok to a huge green park area on the opposite side of the river.
The tour begins on Sukhumvit Road, soi 26. Climb aboard your bike and follow your local guide away from the noisy roads of Bangkok through a working-class neighborhood rarely visited by tourists, where you can experience yet another side of the metropolis.
Visit the lively Khlong Toey market, which is the largest fresh food market in Bangkok. Here you'll find a colorful blend of Thai and Chinese goods. You’ll also head through “Little Chinatown”, where children enthusiastically wave and shout “hello” at the unusual sight of foreigners on bicycles.
Next, cross the Chao Praya river with our bikes on a long tail boat and enter an area called Phra Pradaeng, where you'll cycle on narrow elevated pathways through mangrove, stilted houses with a glimpse of Urban Bangkok Beyond and traditional Bangkok communities.
The Back Streets Of Bangkok Bicycle Tour was a very worthwhile experience to have participated in. It was an efficiently run tour carried out at an easy pace through a diverse range of city areas that provided a very illuminating insight into Bangkok as a living city. The Guide was well prepared and very capable and the small group 3 in total was well catered for.
