This was the best of the activities we signed up for in Bangkok, and I highly recommend it! The staff were very nice and friendly, and all three dishes we made were delicious. We also got nice recipe books at the end of the class which we took home so we can make these dishes again at home.

This was absolutely the best cooking class I've ever taken! We were shown how to prep the ingredients for each of four recipes, then we had individual stations to cook our dishes. We then sat and ate each one- an appetizer, soup, curry and dessert. Most classes I've taken, most of the prep is already done, and participants sharing the cooking of just one of the dishes. Jun and Fya showed us the ingredients growing in the garden, and gave us a great deal of detailed information about how to handle the ingredients. We received all the recipes in a handy holder. I definitely feel I can go home and replicate the dishes. _br/_ The cooking area is open air, It was fine in the morning, and there was plenty of cold water on hand to drink. But be prepared if you're sensitive to the heat.

Loved this amazing place! The grounds and place feel like a beautiful spa getaway. Fun and informative staff. We made and ate: a beef salad, a chicken stir fry dish, pad Thai, and a dessert. Needless to say, you won and #39;t leave hungry! My 12 year old chose this activity and we all had a great time :)

Wonderful class! Our chefs, June and Eye, did an excellent job teaching us about Thai plants and herbs, techniques for using them, and helping us create our own delicious lunch. It was a truly memorable experience.

Absolutely loved it. Know that it is intended for people with little or no experience in making Thai food so do not attend if you are a chef at a famous LA restaurant chain. The tour guides were friendly, helpful, and taught basic stuff without making you feel like an utter fool in the kitchen. All the equipment was top-notch, the place was out-of-this-world, and ample times was given to make food and socialize.

Very well executed from pickup to drop off. The meals we cooked were all well planned and delicious. The cooking class was on the most beautiful scenic site and the instructors were simply lovely. They even send you photos taken during the class which is a thoughtful and gesture. I could not recommend this experience enough.

Excellent tour! Great way to learn about the ingredients that goes into Thai food, the difference in the various peppers and how to safely handle them. The different herbs that change the flavor of the dish, by the intensity of the flavor, like seasoning Soy Sauce, Galangal vs Ginger, different Basil's, once you taste this, you understand what you are missing._br/_ Also this is an individual cooling class so each person prepare their dish, A group activity was grating coconut to make coconut cream._br/_ The cooking techniques apply also to all cooking, like heating pans, checking oil temperature, the thing I found I really need at home is a Wok burner._br/_ The staff was great, the setting was excellent, with garden, partially open air classroom and kitchen, excellent afternoon, fellowship, meeting new people, maybe from your home country. Different than museum or temple tour as everyone is focused on cooking and tasting the final product._br/_ To Viator, Please try to list this as a Morning and Afternoon class, I asked and did afternoon, this way you/I did a Temple tour in the morning, got back to hotel, short break and was ready for pickup for the Baipai class. With distance to the school, Bangkok traffic, and if the class runs a bit long, the afternoon session lets you do more tours, if time in Bangkok is at a premium.

This was certainly one of the highlight of my Bangkok trip. The Baipai Thai Cooking School goes out of its way to give you an amazing experience. This tranquil, beautiful site feels like it and #39;s far away from the city but, in truth, it and #39;s under an hour even with notorious Bangkok traffic.

Excellent facility, great instruction, and great quality food we made ourselves! Learned a lot - how to use coconut milk vs cream effectively. Also how to use lemongrass, which we have growing at home. Excited to do these recipes again at home!

This was fabulous. Very professional and well-organized class held in a beautiful facility with both decorative and herb gardens. Not far outside Bangkok. Great introduction to classic Thai ingredients and food prep. We made five dishes from scratch, down to shredding the coconut on a traditional 'rabbit' shredder and pounding all ingredients for the curries by hand, and were sent home with a recipe book and photographs. Would absolutely recommend, and plan to do it again with my teenage daughter on my next trip.

This experience was one of my highlights as a first time visitor from California. They made the whole thing so seamless minus one critique you can read about at the end from calling us at the hotel the night before for a final confirmation of time to dropping us off at our desired location. I loved the various multiple stations of activities:

I think this was the best thing we did in our entire stay. The house for the cooking school is beautiful and we were there on a very rainy, thunderstorm morning and still had loads of fun cooking in this indoor/outdoor venue. It is such a beautiful place to learn. The instructors are fun and informative. You can really tell they like what they do. The class had beginners and expert cooks and everyone was learning new things. I highly recommend this cooking class over others. The setting is beautiful, they take pics of you while you are cooking, and give you recipe cards to take home. Next time I am back in Bangkok I will do it again. The menus change daily. Their website is very informative.

I cannot say enough great things about our time at the Baipai cooking school. Our host and chef were both very friendly, fun and kept us involved the whole time. They taught us a lot about Thai food and the ingredients that go in to traditional cooking. They did a great job of showing us how to make something and then have us try it right away while it was still fresh in our minds. The cookbooks were a great help and will be even better when we try to make the food for friends and family at home. This was my favorite part of our trip and has inspired me to take cooking classes everywhere else I travel in the future.

Superb experience: professionally organised and run excellent pace great choice of menu items back of house staff were unobtrusive but efficient front of house team were great. Chef and tour leader, Noi and June, were entertaining as well as very skilled and knowledgeable. Many 'wow' moments throughout the morning. Thanks to all the team!

This is a really fun activity. We went for the morning class and I thought that we were going to the market together, but instead there was just an explanation of the plants in their garden. I probably didn't read the fine print. I am not experienced at all in the kitchen so, for me, the class went a little fast. They provide recipe cards so you can try to replicate the dishes once you get home.

I was expecting a very sterile, very up-tight, white wall and stainless steel experience. What I got was a very informative, very fun cooking experience set in a very asian themed open air, cooking suite. We were first picked up at our hotels and driven to a huge, very clean open air food wholesale market in northern Bangkok. Imagine your home grocery store without all the boxed processed stuff, but with ten times the produce and meat options. Everything looked as though it wasn't more than twelve hours old. I was envious. Here is were we met Julie, our cooking assistant. She took us on a tour while purchasing some of the key ingredients we would be using that day. Some of my fellow cooking students purchased a couple fresh fruit items to bring back to their hotels for snacking after class.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Baipai Cooking School! June did a phenomenal job leading the class, and the experience to prepare our own 4-course Thai meal was such a delight. Probably the best Pad Thai we had our entire trip!

I can't rate this place highly enough. I received free air conditioned transfers to and from this hidden leafy secret, and on arrival I was taken away with how beautiful and spatious the grounds are. This cooking school looks like a five star resort or restaurant! We were welcomed with Thai iced tea, then taken around the grounds to have staple herbs/fruits/vegetables in our recipes shown and explained. Fone was incredibly knowledgeable and patient when explaining all the key ingredients and Thai cooking philosophy. Chef Noi showed us how to make coconut cream and milk from scratch. All in all, we made four courses (cashew chicken, Thai beef salad, pad Thai and for dessert ruby water chestnuts in ice coconut). Chef Noi and Fone are absolute professionals, with the support staff impressive (how did they clean and set up without us noticing?!). To remember this great half day experience, Fone took pictures the entire time and emailed them to us within hours. _br/_ Thankyou so much, I will definitely be back.
