Bangkok by Night: Temples, Markets and Food by Tuk-Tuk

Bangkok, Thailand

Ride a tuk-tuk past Bangkok’s iconic sites as you tour the city at night. This 4-hour tour loops along the Chao Phraya River, stopping at several temples and markets. See temples such as Wat Pho illuminated at night, enjoy dinner and a dessert at a mystery stop! This tour is limited to 12 people, ensuring an informative experience with a small group.

After meeting your guide and small group at a central location in Bangkok, hop aboard your tuk-tuk, a fun and commonly used open-air vehicle that easily accommodates two passengers. Your city tour takes place after the temperature drops, bypassing heavily trafficked routes as you drive to locations most frequented during the daytime.
Your guide provides an overview of Thailand’s capital as you take in the beauty of Bangkok by night and explore markets, temples and its food. Stop at famous temples such as Wat Pho to admire its golden pagodas lit up at night, and visit a famous 24-hour flower market, where vivid colors are in full bloom under the fluorescent lights.
At nightfall, Bangkok comes alive with food vendors, and you’ll stop to sample some of the best food in the city before finishing with a delicious dessert in a mystery stop. Your tuk-tuk tour ends near the Flower Market, and there’s still time to check out the tireless city’s nightlife on your own.

Fantastic tour. Seeing the temple at night without the crowds alone was worth it.

the booking process, meet and greet and overall structure of the tour is really good. the guides are very professional and informative. the tuk-tuk drivers are friendly and helpful. but my negative comments on this tour relates to the overall experience. this is not an authentic food tour where you go off the beaten track and eat with locals. i was hoping for truly authentic Bangkok specialties in side-alley markets etc. visiting the temples at night makes for interesting sightseeing but detracts from the experience if you have visited them by day. the well know pad thai restaurant is ok we had much better pad-thai at other local eateries.

One of the best tours to do in Bangkok. The guides are great and the food is amazing. As it is at night it is much cooler. It is best to go hungry as you get to try a lot of food.

AMAZING!!!!!_br/_ If you go to Bangkok, I suggest to see the city at night. City is beautiful as it is but looks magical at night. Tour guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and super excited about her job!._br/_ You are able to city different places, ride the Tuk Tuk which was a great experience and do multiple stops in different temples, markets and restaurant._br/_ Would definitely do this tour again!!!! AMAZING Experience!!!!!

I would say to just book a tun tun on your own. I'm not sure if it was just an off night, but it was a pretty miserable experience. It seemed as though nothing went right and the tour was long and drawn out due to miscommunication with the restaurant. From the hours we wasted there is made the tour somewhat unbearable because it got so late. Bangkok is known for its food so we were excited to do a food tour. Be mindful if you do book, that this is not a food tour. You visit the temples, and some markets. But in fact the food is really a sample of like 2-3 items and then a sit down pad Thai dinner. very underwhelming and a better use of time would be to just visit on your own.

We had a great time on this tour. Tom our guide was amazing - he was knowledgeable, funny, and great personally. It was great seeing the sights at night as well as having some great food. Our drivers were great too. Plus we had a great group on our tour which made it even better. Greatly enjoyed it! I definitely recommend this tour.

I was hoping for more of a food-crawl than an all-encompassing tour, there were some repeats with things I had already seen, but guide was very friendly and informative, group size was small, and they were accommodating since I had to leave early to catch my flight. No waiting at a very popular Pad Thai restaurant and riding around in a tuk-tuk is always fun.

Had one night in Bangkok and chose this tour due to great reviews and they did not disappoint! Amazing staff, local guide with perfect English. Great fun and can highly recommend. However a few tips out of control of the tour company: 1. Ride on the sky train to meeting point was a complete sardine can because of rush hour so be prepared- especially with little kids or older folks - you cant be timid! 2. Riding the tuk tuk was an absolute blast however because you go to so many stops, there is a lot of crouching and climbing in and out requiring a certain degree of agility. if you have any flexibility or back issues you may be sore the next day. 3. Temples are closed by that time so you will not actually see the recling Buddha. If you are ok with that then do it! You will not regret it!!!!

Ai was amazing and enthusiastic. She was great and her energy was contagious I loved it. She showed us so many different things and I enjoyed seeing Bangkok at night. My Tuk Tuk driver seksan was also amazing. He played music and his playlist was exceptional. Would definitely do this again!

Awesome time. we did this our first night in Bangkok and it was a great way to start off our trip and gave us some insight to things to do. We saw the reclining buddha temple this evening and then again in the day on a best of bangkok tour. Two totally different looks. I recommend seeing both day and night. Many nice touches by our guide. Do this tour for sure.

What a great experience visiting some of the top Thai sites at night by Tuk-Tuk. Our guide and tuk-tuk driver were phenomenal. They provided us with great insights into the various sites we visited and made sure the tour was enjoyable and engaging. The restaurant we had dinner at had some of the best Thai food we had the whole trip. This tour is absolutely phenomenal and should be on everyone's list. As the write-up suggests, this is a great immersion tour on the first night of arrival into Bangkok as it perfectly shows you some of the top sites while experiencing authentic Thai cuisine and immerses you in the Bangkok experience from the start.

amazing tour and seeing Bangkok at night was surprisingly relaxing. Bangkok in the daytime can be very overwhelming and this is coming from a gal in Nyc. Our tour guide was pleasant and easy to understand. We went to a world famous Thai place and I had the best pad Thai. Plenty of photo and culture.

Probably the best tour we did in Bangkok. Bangkok comes to life at night. With the temperatures a bit cooler, it was nice to take a Tuk-Tuk around to the various markets and temples. The food we ate was delicous - espcially the pad-thai wrapped in an egg. And our guide was great - very knowledgeable and personable.

Tour was great. We loved learning about the history and places around the city. Great balance between food and sites. I wish we had more time to spend shopping, really no time for that. Maybe start a bit earlier, too. It seems some of the nightime shops were closing just as we arrived. Tour guide Om was wonderful and very attentive. Rating is based on what seemed to be a lot crammed into a small amount of time. Giving the attendes time to walk around the markets would have been a plus. City is hard ot navigate and we were not in Bangkok long enough to return to any of the spots we saw in the evening.

Great and fun way to not only see but experience Bangkok at night while on a tuk tuk ride. Best Pad Thai restaurant in the city was a highlight and did not dissapoint. Watching the cooks outside preparing the dishes was a real treat. Interesting to see the 24 hour flower and vegetable market in action. Natt our guide was funny and informative and tuk tuk drivers amazing. The plus at the end of the tour was being driven by tuk tuk back to our hotel.

This was a great tour! We had a really nice and knowledgable guide who spoke good English and helped us see everything from the perspective of a local. We were split into groups of two who each had our own tuk tuk drivers. The drivers were all so nice and made us feel really safe while driving around the busy streets of Bangkok. The guide gave us a mini history lesson about Bangkok and all of the sites/temples we visited, which was really helpful. He took us on a mini food tour and picked out some yummy treats for us to try that we probably wouldn't have had otherwise! We also went to the oldest pad thai restaurant in all of Bangkok, but I thought it was only ok. We ended at the flower market and had mango and sticky rice for dessert before folding a beautiful flower into origami art! I'd recommend doing this tour the first night you're in Bangkok because it's a great primer and helps you decide what you want to do and see the rest of the time you're there. Also, make sure to come hungry because you're going to eat A LOT of yummy Thai food!

This was a fun tour that I used as an introduction to Bangkok. The guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke English well. The tour includes sampling of Thai food. One stop was at Thip Samai, which is famous for their Pad Thai. I already had plans to want visit this place. It is so popular there is a hour wait. However, as part of the tour, they already had a place holder such that when we arrived, we were immediately lead upstairs to a table and got immediate service. Awesome! The street markets, temples, and flower market were wonderful. And finally, the actual Tuk Tuk ride was such fun zipping through Bangkok at night!

This is a very expensive tour with limited food. Our guide and tuk tuk drivers were great but the design of the tour is not great. I have been on some fantastic food tours in Ho chi min city that were amazing. We did not eat till 9.30 aside from a small coconut pancake and so were starving. Not really much food and not particularly authentic street food with the fantastic vibe of eating places in markets that you can find. You will find something better and cheaper by waiting until you get to Bangkok.

This was so much fun to see Bangkok by tuk tuk with an experienced guide who was fun and knowledgeable. Everything ran on time and professionally. Pad Thai was great, flower market and temples at night were very cool. Our guide Esso was super fun. The tuk tuk dropped us back at our hotel so we didn't have to deal with public transportation. I would recommend this tour!

I felt sick during the tour. The guide was very sensitive to my needs and had the tuk-tuk driver get me to my hotel after I let her know I reached my limit. I was able to hang for a good 4 sites, and there was plenty more to go. Driving around in a tuk-tuk at night was worth it enough in my opinion. Kind of a bummer as the food samples looked delicious. Great tour, unexpected circumstances well handled.

Thoroughly enjoyable tour featuring an broad slice of local evening life in Bangkok. The tuk tuk ride is thrilling in places as you zip through city traffic. Our driver was friendly and always ready to point out interesting sights. Our walking guide was equally skilled and made us feel as though we were getting a true insider perspective on her culture in just a few short hours.

We really enjoyed this. Our tour guide was experienced and was kind enough to share the culture and custom even giving us tips of dos and don'ts in Thailand. We were really moved by their mourning for their King and how much he meant to them. We got taken to a very popular restaurant that had a pretty long line however we got priority and had our table reserved so we skipped the line. The food was very tasty and we sampled other little treats along the way. The flower market was something else ... 24hours and people working late into the night waiting to display and sell their flowers. We simply admired how hard working people are in Thailand and were impressed at how practical things were and how they lived their lives. Great tour, great insight.

Our guide, Aeh, and our Tuk-Tuk driver were excellent. We highly recommend this tour to see Bangkok at night when the city is less congested. We were able to sample the decent street foods, pad thai, and local desserts. The temples, flower market, night markets, food stalls gave us a good snapshot of Bangkok. Again, I can't say enough good things about our guide. She was great and gave us a memorable experience!
