Bangkok Night Bike Tour

Bangkok, Thailand

See a different side of Bangkok on this 4-hour bike tour at night, when Buddhist temples are more radiant, the streets are less trafficked, the air is a little cooler, and backstreets are teaming with locals eating, drinking and gossiping. Visit Wat Arun and Wat Pho in their peaceful nighttime settings, explore the famous Pak Khlong Talat flower market and sample some street food, all the while learning the history of your surroundings from your local guide. Numbers are limited to 10 on this small-group tour, ensuring a more personalized experience.

As Bangkok simmers down in the evening, meet your group and guide near Khaosan Road to start your 4-hour bike tour, which takes you through central Bangkok to reveal the Thai capital in a different light.

Cross the Chao Phraya River for a nighttime panorama of Bangkok, and ride down some of the city's narrowest and most ambient streets. Stop to visit Wat Arun, known as Temple of the Dawn, lit up and radiant against the sky. Nighttime offers a different experience of this 17th-century Buddhist temple, a prominent place of worship for locals.

Continue down atmospheric alleyways and backstreets to Pak Khlong Talat, Bangkok's most famous flower market, open 24 hours a day. The evening is when the market is at its busiest. Gawk at the riot of colors, scents and sights as you watch locals stocking up on their flowers and produce, and pause to sample some street snacks.

Continue riding to Wat Pho, also called Temple of the Reclining Buddha. Take 20 or so minutes to explore the poignant temple, littered with staggering stupas that shimmer with a different golden hue at night. Away from the daytime tourists, Wat Pho is extra special at night.

Soak up Bangkok's nighttime atmosphere as you cycle your way back to the start point.

Good itinerary, good guide, good bikes, well organised and enjoyable. Andy, the guide, was very good - knowledgeable, flexible, attentive. Highly recommend.

For a bike lover as me, It was an amazing tour. Not because of the biking but because of the way you move through the city's hidden alleys that show you would never know otherwise. The guides info about the city's history could be better.

Perfect tour. Definitely recommended... the tour operator is one of the best bike tour operator, I've ever seen. Did a lot of other tours with them afterwards.

This was one of my favorite activities in Bangkok! Excellent, funny, informative tour guide! The biking was super cool, down back alleys, and the neighbors were yelling hello as we rode through the narrowest streets I've ever seen. We rode a ferry across the river, had awesome street snacks, and folded lotus flowers to make an offering to Buddha! After the ride, you're steps away from Khao San road for a late night scorpion snack and 100 baht Chang beer. I highly recommend this bike tour!

I had recently finished a trip with Exodus cycling across Vietnam Saigon to Hanoi and wasn't quite ready to hang up my cycling helmet, so thought that a night bike tour of Bangkok would be a good idea. Golf, our guide didn't seem to have the etiquette that a lead cyclist should have, pointing out pot-holes, curbs and general hand signals. Apart from that, I enjoyed the trip, there was something quite surreal being amongst the Temples and Pagodas in the darkness and hearing the Monks chanting and prayer. The Temples and Pagodas are really quiet so it was lovely to be around such amazing architecture without the crowds._br/_ Golf took us for some street food, sadly for me, I just couldn't face it, just because they put an animal on a stick doesn't make it look any more appealing.

A brilliant introduction to the city, with food tasting and loads of sight seeing. We used it to decide what we wanted to see more of. Our guide was knowledgable and helpful. Loads of fun too! Thoroughly recommended.

Andy is the man! I spaced and came to the tour on the wrong day. I guess all my devices still displayed American time or I booked too many tours. I came a day late and wasn't on the list, they said no problem with a smile. He spoke good English, very friendly, good explanation of the history of the sites. The cycling is fun small group single file, helmet gear provided. Bikes were comfortable with front suspension. A lot of tight alleyways and hidden areas contrasting with open city roads and crossing the river on ferry was fun too. To my surprise a lot of stops for street food no complaints! and refreshments. There's nothing like going for a bike ride to forget your worries and feel like a kid again. Also, the city is a lot more beautiful at night. They also have longer rides for more serious cyclists.

This was a really good tour - it made good use of quiet routes which are safe to cycle after dusk and encompassed many interesting sites including some superbly illuminated temples, finishing up with some delicious street food. This was one of the top activities I did during my short time in Bangkok and would thoroughly recommend it to fellow travellers

The overall experience was great, our Tour Leader, Tao, was super helpful and full of information. Also made a couple of new friends from Georgia, and Madrid as we journeyed through the night streets of Bangkok. Like I said, overall, it was a great experience, If I have one bit of feedback, I would suggest that maybe the bike trip make a few more stops along the way, and allow the travelers to take pictures, and maybe explain a little more about the history. We rode through some amazing places, through backpacker alley, a night market, what looked like a demilitarized zone, along the waterfront, past a couple of really cool looking temples, then over the Rama 1 bridge, but unfortunately didn't make any stops at any of those areas. It would have been cool to stop even for a minute at some of those places to soak up the atmosphere. Overall, great ride and really enjoyable time with Tao, and the group.

This is one of the most fun things I have done. Though I have visited Bangkok several times, I loved this different view of the city, and just as importantly, the smells and sounds. The pace of the tour was excellent with nice variations of interest in the stops. Also, I felt safe as a woman in my 60s traveling alone.

Totally enjoyed the tour! It was a good time of day, and the sites were amazing. Fun to see things at night and enjoy the market and street food. My only disappointment was not being able to stop at several photo ops bridge and local life because the group has to keep going. And Patilla ?, our guide, was excellent in sharing of information, but sometimes it was hard to hear her because she kept moving. Trying to enjoy the sites and continuing to move was frustrating at times.

This tour was booked coz we hardly see the night street life all the various times we've been to Bangkok. So this tour was perfect when we could witness all that. The guides were so very friendly and knowledgable. He even footed the bill for all our fruity juices and street food. Im not too good a cyclist but the 2nd guide who rode behind the 10 of us kept a lookout for me and for that I'm ever grateful. And we were with our 5 yo daughter and the guides took extra precaution and safety measures. This night cycling tour was the highlight of my trip this time round. Highly recommended!

The tour is brilliant especially at night, Petz was out guide and he was brilliant very knowledgeable and would answer any question. If you want to learn about Bangkok and see a different side rather than just the busy loud touristy parts this is the tour for you.

An amazing tour through Bangkok with the most wonderful guide, Kan! The chosen route and deep knowledge of the areas visited provide a unique experience, away from the daytime crowd. It provided a chance to see parts of Bangkok that I would have never visited, specifically, a chance to see the temples for what they are and not just as a tourist spot. The bikes were great too, although if you're not used to riding one, you will surely get a sore bum, but 100 worth it! Kan went out of the way and spent time with us where we wanted rather than forcing us to move along with the itinerary, allowing us to spend more time in the quietness of the temples and the hustle and bustle of the flower market. I am sure we must have ruined his plans for the night, but he seemed least bothered by us returning even after their office was closed. If I ever return to Bangkok, I will surely take up other tours with them as well.

This was an amazing tour. It helped us get grounded with the city and see some back streets and alleys that we wouldn't have even know about otherwise. We got a change to eat bugs as well on this trip included in the tour if you wanted. My friend who is not a big cyclist was able to manage just fine, the pace was not to quick.

Great experience, but sometime is hard to enjoy the ride when you are focusing on not losing your crew or getting hit by an incoming car or motorcycle.

It was great fun, if a little hair raising. Riding on main streets in crazy Bangkok traffic! You get to see all the back streets that you normally wouldn't see. Fantastic and very informative guide called Top. They provide water in their reusable sport bottles, but you can buy refreshments from the street stalls.

The trip was amazing! It was a great way to see the city in a different light at night! I loved the exercise component of it, in addition to all of the yummy street vendor food! Our guide, Andy, was also fantastic! It was easy to communicate with him and he answered all of our questions. I highly recommend this trip!

My partner and I did this tour together, and it was an average tour. Biking was difficult at times, working around the traffic, and is probably more of an intermediate bike ride despite the description. Tour guide was knowledgeable, but we were unable to go inside of any temples due to the timing. Most of our time was spent trying not to get run over rather than taking in the sights. Flower market was great, very interesting, even ate some crickets... not as bad as you might think!

It was a great experience. You go trough streets where nlocals live and the tour guide was a great guy._br/_ The only dissapointing part was that I thought that we were going to go inside the temples that were on the schedule. Unfortunately we just checked the temples from the outside. This could be imrpoved or maybe the explanation might be changed.

We had fun our night tour with our guide, Al. He showed us maps where we were going and gave us plenty of information during our tour of Wat Arun and Wat Po before we ate street food and went to the flower market. The night ride wasn't as awesome as a day ride, however, so I'd suggest the day ride instead. It's hard to see things and look around while you're trying to see where you're going at the same time.

We enjoyed touring Bangkok at night as the days were all over 90 degrees! It was great to have someone to follow down backroads, alleys and quaint streets and neighborhoods we never would have seen. The evening is superb for seeing some temples that are very crowded during the day. The tour guide was friendly, but lacked good English skills. Most people in our group could not understand most of what he said. He talked much too long at each temple. A short break is great but they were so long we were all so restless to get going rather than stiffening up. Also, everyone was hungry and he could have told us his stories over some food. Snacks consisted of pineapple chunks and a piece of pork on a stick, in the back of the flower market standing around a vending machine. We all would have preferred an opportunity to get a little street food if he'd pointed it out and recommended a few things to try. and would have been happy to pay for. The scenery was awesome and I would definitely say its a great choice. It was our first night in Bangkok and we felt that it was great fun. Only 6 in our group.

I joined the night cycling activity and was very satisfied!! It was very fun!!_br/_ I could visit famous sightseeing spots. Furthermore, I could go to very local region where might not able to visit by ourselves as well. It was very nice to talk to locals and high touch. They are very friendly and it made me more fun there. It became such a great experience and unforgettable memory as Thailand Trip though._br/_ Thank you very much._br/_ PS. I tried to eat grasshoppers. It became one of the great memories as well.

Mo and Ah were our guides. They took my husband and me, as well as two other couples, through the streets for Bangkok at night. I loved everything about this tour. We had the temples to ourselves at night. The tour of the flower market was amazing. We sampled fried grasshoppers as well as pork on a stick. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who truly wants to understand Bangkok.
