This relaxed afternoon 2.5-hour Bangkok cruise will allow you to observe Thai people going about their everyday business in the 'The Venice of the East'.

You'll be picked up from your centrally located Bangkok hotel and travel by long-tail cruise along the Bangkok canals. Travel through exotic flora and picturesque canal houses, before joining a converted rice barge cruise on the Chao Phraya river. All you need to do on this tour is sit back, relax and take in the amazing Thai scenery. Soft drinks and local fruits will be served on-board.

The rivers and canals around Bangkok serve as a natural highway for many local Thai people going about their everyday business. The people of Bangkok still depend on the waterways to transport their merchandise, in particular rice, as the canals are linked to the rice fields.

The tour was a good way to spend the afternoon seeing Bangkok by boat and barge. The tour spent most of its time on Bangkok's main river, plus one side waterway. My only disappointment is that the tour did not explore some of the more obscure waterways in the city which would give an even more in depth view of the city. Otherwise, it was a nice tour and for the price, can't be beat.

Our Bangkok plans had us going out for a night on the town the previous night so we were looking for something relaxing that didnt take all day. This was the perfect way to get out and see the city from the water. We were picked up on time from our hotel and taken to the pier which had a nice art gallery / shopping mall where we spent our time strolling through the shops before our cruise began. The services offered were exactly as described. Many stated in previous reviews that they had trouble hearing the tour guide due to the engine noise on the boats, but this was not the case for us. Our guide Peter was very knowledgeable and provided interesting facts about BKK that we were not aware of. He was enthusiastic and set a great tone for the full experience. The canal tour took us up one of the larger canals where we fed catfish with bread purchased on the boat for a minimal price. We transferred to the rice barge where there was a nice selection of fruits and drinks. The service was attentive and wed happily take this tour again. After the tour we were taken back to our hotel. This is where we experienced the one challenge with the excursion. The driver was impatient while we waited to use the restroom and was frustrated that we didnt know we were holding him up. Dont let this sway your decision to go on this cruise. It was a minor inconvenience but one that was a surprise given how well the rest of the cruise played out.

It was a fun tour, the people in the boat was friendly and the fruit snack table they served for us was great. We had a nice weather and we got to see the palace and temples._br/_ It was very enjoyable.

Great afternoon trip. It takes you up the canal and you can see different cultural aspects of Bangkok. You are served a nice assortment of fruit and a drink. Very relaxing. It's hard to hear your guide for it is noisy on the boat but she was very nice if you have any questions for her.

A pleasant way to enjoy some wonderful views from the river away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I must say that the snack time on the return trip was excellent... a welcome and pleasant surprise, not only in quality, but in variety. That alone is worth the admission price. :-

Was expecting rice barge for all of the tour but it was only for about a third of the tour at the end. The guide was very knowledgeable and told us lots of facts about the sights and Thailand generally , his English was good. Once we got on to the barge the staff couldn't do enough for us they had prepared fruit I'd never seen or heard of all fresh and beautifully set out.. There wasn't much going on in the canals but it was interesting to see the houses and buildings and hear the facts. The river cruise part of the tour was more interesting.tne pick up and drop off from our hotel was easy and the guide had left us a message to say what the pick up times were.

The first part of the tour is on a boat that was very noisy, making it very hard to hear the guide even though he was using a PA system. The second part of the tour is on a nicer boat rice barge and the fruits selection was very good. The guide and staff are all very friendly.

We enjoyed the tour and the guide's knowledge of the river and surrounds. Transferring to the rice barge was excellent as was the food served, Pickup and drop off to our hotel was extremely punctual, I've never had that good a service anywhere else.

If you want to taste most of Thailand tropical fruits while cruising the river at daytime, this is the tour for you. And also you can see the city and the temples along the river at daytime

The tour is not bad, but the Tour Guide should have coordinated properly the actual timing on the ferry departure as some tourists were extremely late, due to their known traffic jams!

A rice barge to go one way and a more sophisticated boat to eat fruits and to return. Very interesting to watch the city and people's life along the waterway. A bit surprised you have to pay for the bread to feed catfish in the river. Guidance on boat through loudspeaker was hardly audible. Above all, we badly missed mangosteen!!

We were 30 min late in being picked up. Only picked up after hotel made a phone call on our behalf. Never told that the pu was actually the first half of the tour. When we met the barge, it only operated for a little while before the boat broke down and we had to transfer to another boat. Things happen but this was the same tour provider as the day before and it appears that the company is not well organized. The hospitality on the barge was the only saving grace and the group did a great job with refreshments. The guide was not real proficient with english and it seemed that he was willing to say anything.

Fantastic tour! Confirmed to hotel so no worrying if they would turn up. Picked up promptly and dropped at pier. Passed over to tour guide who was the loveliest man you could ever meet. A real gem! Loved the sights and very informative. Had the tour to ourselves as a group of 4 so felt like VIPs as we passed a few boats rammed with people! Felt guilty as we couldn't eat enough of the fruit buffet to do it justice as there was enough to feed a boat full._br/_ The river was not dirty as some reviews would lead you to believe. _br/_ A lovely relaxing afternoon and a break from padding the streets and shops. Worth every baht!

it was pretty nice. The guide on the boat in the canal part of our tour did not enunciate her english very well so it was very hard to understand her. The next boat, the rice barge, had a much better guide, very understandable, and the fruit buffet was great.

This tour would have been fantastic if it was not for an annoying private guide who sat near the front seats of the canal boat talking very loudly to the two people who paid for his service. Our main guide at the front of the boat had a microphone yet you could not hear her over the loud voice of this private guide. I tried a few times using my finger to my lips symbol to him to express the wish that he quieten down but he looked at me and took no notice. What was worse was the the official tour guides did not stop him and I noticed later that they all seemed to know him and that perhaps he was part of the company. My friend and I eventually moved to the back of the boat to get away from him but unfortunately that is where the loud speakers were. We did have a reasonable tour looking along canals that we hadn't seen before but the whole trip was spoilt by this one private guide and I felt that the tour company should have stopped him talking so much and so loudly as he was not part of our tour.

due to the time of year and the curfew and travel restrictions imposed by various countries. this turned in to a private cruise with ourselves and one other couple. transport to and from the hotel was excellent and on time. the cruise its self was not exactly what we thought it was going to be, that said it was enjoyable and tasting the various fruits on offer on the barge was a delicious experience.

the bangkok rice barge afternoon cruise was a very pleasant cruise, first off all we went on a hours sightseeing cruise with our guide pointing out many interesting buildings, we then went one the rice barge, had had complimentary drinks and food, the crew were very pleasant and nice, would recommend this cruise , a good way to spend a couple of hours in bangkok

Would have liked to explore the canals further. The guide was interesting and gave us an insight into the current protests. The ad said we would be travelling on a longtail boat - not the case - and there would be very few people on the tour - again not the case.

The two boat trips were fun but the best part was the fruit and snack buffet on the rice barge--the first part of the cruise was on a smaller boat. Because of the traffic problems caused by the protests I was picked up early, so I had some time to wait until the cruise started.

Really nice afternoon on the Chao Phraya River. The first part of the trip was on a long, narrow boat and the return was on a rice arge where we dined on a beautiful buffet of exotic fruit. The length of the tour was just perfect and the staff were excellent. I enjoyed feeding fish in front of the temples.
