See a different side to Bangkok with this fun and fabulous sunset biking tour. This stunning evening tour will take you from one side of the Chao Phraya River to the other via back roads and small alleys, allowing you to see the city from a local’s perspective.
Your driver will pick you up from your hotel and bring you to the central meeting point near the Chao Phraya River where your bike will be adjusted for a comfortable ride. The bicycle tour is a gentle pedaling tour, at a recreational pace, with plenty of stops included.
The tour usually starts with a local ferry crossing from the Bangkok side to the Thonburi side. Hit the back streets and alleys with your bicycle for a relaxing ride as you see the sun slowly setting. Your first stop will be the local Klong San market before we pedal along a Chinese pagoda, perched on the river bank. The inside of this 8-story pagoda are finished in granite and bronze. The windows have delicate etched designs of birds and other animals.
Next, stop at a food-only market, located in a quiet neighborhood. To get a taste of some of the delicacies sold here, we include a quick bite at one of the food stalls. Your guide will be at your disposal to explain the ins and outs of the cooked food and the ingredients used. Via the riverbanks, we reach the amazing Temple of Dawn – Wat Arun. It’s almost magical the way Wat Arun is lit and gives you a totally new impression of this landmark. A light dinner will be served near the temple before we move on.
Wat Rakhang Khositaram will be your final stop at the Thonburi side before we cross back to Bangkok by local ferry and head towards the Sanam Luang (The Royal Fields) and the Grand Palace (no entry included, the Grand Palace will be closed upon our arrival). Head straight to the nearby Wat Pho for a visit and a stroll the temple compound, bathing beautifully from the well-lit illuminations that surround the Wat Pho.
Continue the ride to “Pak Klong Talad” or the famous Flower market. You’ll see a kaleidoscope of bright colors as vendors just receiving fresh floral goods from every corner of Thailand, The market is open 24-hours and at night, the trade of flowers really steams up!
The next stop we are back to our central meeting where your Bangkok sunset ride ends. Your driver will bring you back to your hotel at approximately 10:30pm.
