Your guide and driver will be waiting for you at around 8am in the hotel lobby of your overnight address before embarking onto an art-filled day in Bangkok. A day that will include some of the most interesting and happening galleries where exhibitions, scenography and different styles of art are displayed in the best possible form. The tour commences at River City, one of the oldest shopping destinations when it comes to the traditional art from around Asia. With large open spaces and many art galleries that embrace art and antiquities from years gone by, has been a favorite for many years by local and international collectors.

Right on the opposite of one of Bangkok’s most well-known hotels along the river, one can find the OP Place and OP Garden. A heritage hall that houses a selective collection of finer arts and antiques, as well a collection of jewelry and handicraft work. Within a very short walk, the OP Garden offers smaller galleries and handicraft shops, unique to what is available anywhere else in Bangkok.

For the more contemporary-minded collectors and admirers, Silom Galleria is a combined and emerging player in the exhibition and collection of galleries in the capital. The theme here leans more towards the spiritual and ancient, mainland Chines influences and comprises work of both international and local artists. Nearby, the Thavibu gallery is one of the oldest art galleries in Bangkok which opened more than 10 years ago and focusses primarily on artists from Southeast Asia.

Depending on your liking and preferred art style, both Silom and Sukhumvit Road see a growing interest of artists to open shop and show their work. Both main streets have become a dynamic player in the art scene and do target the domestic, international and the expat market. Especially more and more photo art galleries and art spaces have become the talk of the town.
