Learn To Cook From a Local: Private Cooking Class and Market Visit In Bangkok

Visit a local fresh market to learn about seasonal Thai produce and pick up a few ingredients for your lunch. After your shopping is complete, you'll drive to your host's home for a hands-on cooking lesson. Your host Mike is a professionally trained chef who loves to cook at home with his family. He and his mother will teach you how to cook some of their favorite Thai dishes in their kitchen at home. Enjoy the meal you helped prepare and learn about Thai cultural and culinary heritage from a local.

Meet your host Mike and then drive 10 minutes to the neighborhood fresh market. He will take you through the stalls, explaining the various produce on offer and teach you about local eating habits. After picking up a few ingredients for your meal you'll drive to his home and get started cooking!

In their large, modern kitchen Mike and his lovely mother teach you to prepare some of their favorite dishes which might include dishes such as fried sea bass in red curry with passion fruit sauce flavored with chili paste, palm sugar and kaffir lime leaves, Thai-style omelet with tomato, carrot and onion, and stir fried Chinese kale and mushrooms. Mike's professional training is evident in his beautiful plating techniques and artful garnishes. You will then enjoy the delicious meal you helped prepare with Mike. 

You'll leave your experience with new cooking skills and a new friend in Bangkok.
