This tour will give you an insight into Bangkoks diverse and vibrant markets and local streets which includes Indian Town (Phahurat Market), China Town and Sampeng market.
Sampeng Market is in a street close to Chinatown where there are many Thai Chinese residing. This market is located opposite to Phahurat Market. The tour will take you to one of the most important temples in Thailand is Wat Traimi to see the world's largest solid gold Buddha image. The Phahurat Market is also called Little India where there is a Thai Indian community as well.
Sampeng and Phahurat markets are a shopping paradise for local people. It is a well known wholesale market for shoppers to buy fabric, gifts, fashion, jewelry, accessories, cosmetic, traditional Thai dance costumes and religious paraphernalia/ornaments. This street is a blended community of Chinese and Indian heritage and you will also find a mixed cultural of lifestyle and food here.
Schedule: 9am - Meet at hotel lobby 10am - Phahurat Market (Indian town) 11am - Sampeng Market 12pm - Sightseeing and Lunch in China Town 2pm - Wat traimit (Solid Gold Buddha temple) 3pm - Back to hotel
We received a communication from the tour company to meet our private guide, Plyaporn, at exit one at one of the major train and subway stations. We took a cab there, and once we were dropped off we realized that we should have specified the exit number to our cab driver. The stations is very large so it took us a while to find the right spot.

Our female tour guide was absolutely delightful and knowledgeable this walking tour was so informative and enjoyable _br/_ We were all over 65 it was hot but we wanted more we stopped for soft drinks and was recommended to a very tasty Indian curry which we all enjoyed, the restaurant was clean and the food freshly prepared _br/_ We were in awe of the history and culture of China town and little India. The highlight of this trip was the Golden Buddha

This was a fantastic experience, thanks to Piya! She is a really great local guide. Extremely friendly and so knowledgeable about her city. The food we tasted along the way was delicious. She helped us ordering and asking questions. Best fried rice I had ever had. Would highly recommend!
