Private Tour: Organic Farm and Thai Cooking at Sampran Riverside from Bangkok

Join this full-day tour for the sensational opportunity to learn how to cook delicious Thai meals! Learn how to cook a number of meals before feasting on them and additional Thai meals made by a professional chef. Afterwards, visit the famous Thai Village for the chance to finish the day with some culture and heritage.

Your day will begin at your hotel lobby with a 7:30am pickup. From here, you will travel approximately 1.5-hours to Sampran Riverside.

Begin the adventure with a short boat ride across the river to an organic farm which is certified to IFOAM, EU and USDA standards. In the tranquil grounds of the farm, learn about the vegetables and herbs commonly used in Thai cooking and pick these ingredients for your cooking class. Afterwards, sample homemade herbal teas and seasonal fresh fruits before returning back by boat.

After this, proceed to an antique Thai house amidst a certified organic herbal garden to start your Thai cooking class. Learn the techniques from a local experienced chef and prepare 4 popular Thai dishes that include Khanom Pang Na Moo (Minced pork on toast), Som Tam (Raw Papaya Salad), Kai Yang (Grilled Chicken) and Tom Yam Kung (Lemongrass Soup with Prawns).

At noon you will be able to enjoy your own cooked dishes along with the 3 additional dishes prepared by the chef for a full course Thai set lunch including Stir-fried Organic Morning Glory with Chili and Garlic, Massaman Curry with Beef and Stir-fried Chicken with Cashew Nuts.

Steamed Jasmine Rice and Coffee/Tea are included in the meal. Please advise any dietary restrictions when making your booking, and we can change the menu accordingly.

An hour later, proceed to the Thai Village for ‘Living The Thai Culture’ Art and Craft Demonstrations. See traditional Thai culture and the livelihood of the locals through the demonstrations dotted around the village (silk production, umbrella painting, Thai music and dance, traditional weaving, clay pottery, Thai kitchen, rice farming, bamboo dancing, herbal pavilion, Thai martial arts, traditional photo booth, garland making and vegetable carving).

After this, depart Sampran Riverside and return to the hotel in Bangkok town, where you will arrive at approximately 4pm.
