Rainforest Canopy Zipline Adventure from Bangkok

Bangkok, Thailand

Experience the thrill of the world’s longest — and highest — canopy zipline, as you swing through the treetops of a pristine national park near Chonburi, just an hour’s drive from Bangkok. This Flight of the Gibbon treetop adventure in the Thai rainforest includes a total of 24 platforms, plus scenic sky bridges and adrenaline-inducing rappelling. In addition, enjoy a Thai lunch and a tram tour around Khao Kheow Open Zoo. Receive personalized attention, with two zipline guides per group of nine to ensure safety at all times.

Satiate your voracious appetite for adrenaline on this Flight of The Gibbon treetop adventure from Bangkok. Gather at the meeting point and board an air-conditioned luxury van for the 1-hour drive to Khao Kheow, a rainforest bordered by the protected Chompoo Wildlife Sanctuary near Chomburi.
Your small group of nine receives a detailed safety briefing and personal equipment fitting before taking off through the treetops like Tarzan. Get ready to unleash your wild side as you soar across the Thai rainforest between a total of 24 platform stations via the largest canopy zipline in the world.
Featured by TripAdvisor as one of the most recommended things to do in Thailand, the thrilling course covers nearly 2 miles (3 km), including one zipline cable over 984 feet (300 meters) long. Built and designed with fun and safety in mind, the course is suitable for children (ages 6 and up) and adults alike.
Experience an adrenaline rush as you glide through the picturesque jungle like a gibbon, cross over two hanging sky bridges and rappel down two rock faces — all supervised by experienced guides who inform you about the rainforest flora and fauna along the way.
When your eco-adventure ends, descend back to firm ground for a Thai lunch, followed by a tram tour around Khao Kheow Open Zoo. Filled with more than 8,000 animals representing over 300 species, the 2,000-acre (810-hectare) wildlife sanctuary offers an up close and personal encounter with some of the world’s wildest creatures.
The relaxing tram ride stops at several stations, so you can watch the animal shows and then catch the next tram to another station as you please. Feed the wildlife during ‘Journey to the Jungle,’ an educational program showcasing various animals and birds in their natural habitats. You’ll be captivated as wild cats climb trees and exotic birds display their talents.
Your full-day tour ends with drop-off at the starting point in Bangkok.

Great trip. Never did zip lining before so this was quite the experience. Travel time is long but highly recommend.

The zipline was a lot of fun, the zoo was neat to see. It was kind of a pain that they didn't pick you up at your hotel and had to find your own way to the pick up location. The van that we were transported in was also not the greatest.

AWESOME TOUR!! Everyone that work there was super cool and we had a great time. Highly recommend you bring a GoPro if you have one, you'll get some amazing footage. Also the meal provided ended up being pretty good, a lot better than what I expected to be served in a zoo. All of that being said if you really want to visit a zoo I don't recommend you use this tour to supplement that, the tour of the zoo is very short and is made shorter based on how long you take to eat.

We had such a great time on this tour from beginning to end. The tour guides Man and Jayzon were a lot of fun and made us feel really safe. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone!

This tour does not offer hotel pick up. I think it would be better if they do hotel pick up since dealing with tuktuk and taxi drivers are hard. We had experience with driver driving around the route even if it was so close just to increase meter. Another one is tuktuk driver asking 500 bahts.

Great safety rangers, they were very funny, made it all the better. Only reason I didnt put 5 stars is because the longest zip line is 300 metres. Was hoping for a longer one with a steeper incline. Great for a family day out.

This was a fantastic trip. Worth every penny! One of the best things we've ever done. The views from the platforms in the forest were breathtaking and the 2 instructors were fantastic. Would do it again tomorrow!

The actual zip lining was amazing and definitely worth doing! With better organization in regards to pick up and drop off, would make it even better.

Horrible driver, we did not feel save at all. The journey takes two hours instead of less than one hour as described in the advertisement. The zip lining itself is fantastic with great skyrangers so I would def recommend to do that. Lunch was quite bad, nobody ate their whole plate. Zoo is quite nice with great animals but you only have 40 min in a car to see them. I would recommend the zip line and a visit to the zoo on your own. That would be much nicer.

Overall experience was amazing though didnt get to see any wild animals during the course. Lunch was nice. The disappointing part was there were no photos taken of any of us while doing the zipline. We didnt have GoPro with us n depended on the photographer to take our photo but none was done.

I will start with negatives first. The included lunch was a let down, it was just some fried rice with sweet chilli sauce. The 2nd part of the tour Zoo was also average but I should say if there are kids in your group then they will surely enjoy it as you get a chance to hand feed animals the big ones elephant, giraffe, rhino etc. For all the negatives, the zipline itself makes it up, It is one of the best things we have done in thailand. The rangers were really courteous compared to staff at Tiger Temple who were rude. The safety standard was excellent as well, so if you haven't done zipline before then this is a must do. Also I found Viator to be cheaper than any other source. _br/_ Travel Period : Jan 2016

Outstanding experience. My daughter and I had a blast! The pickup location was easy to find and the van was very comfortable. The check in process was easy with a delicious tamarind drink to start. The guides were fun and professional and we felt safe throughout the entire adventure. We made a deal with another Zipliner to take pictures of each other and share later and it worked great. The lunch after was delicious and filling. We highly recommend this my daughter is 22.

Excellent! If youve never been ziplining this is a great introduction, and even if you have, this one includes some long runs through great scenery. The drive out to Chonburi provided nice views of the Thai countryside outside of Bangkok. Guides and assistants on the lines were excellent. And the animal zoo at the park was an unexpected extra, my daughters enjoyed feeding the elephants and giraffes. _br/_ Be careful on your timing to get to the tour pick-up point near Khao San Road morning traffic in Bangkok can be beyond belief. The tour POCs were very helpful on the phone when we called them on timing.

The zipline adventure itself was amazing. The quest we had to go on to get there was terrible. The driver " forgot" to pick us up after we were told to go to a meeting point on the other side of town. We finally arrived by sheer accident after countless awful ordeals.

The actual zipline portion is absolutely thrilling. The guides are entertaining, if slightly offensive and inappropriate, though that may simply be a cultural difference. Personally, I don’t enjoy being grabbed and hounded for tips at the end of an event, especially since I didn’t bring extra cash with me. The views are breathtaking, though I would have liked a moment to enjoy them instead of being rushed about and past two other groups. It seemed they were more interested in getting as many bodies through as they could instead of ensuring guests enjoyed their time on such a pricey activity. If I had it to do again, I’d have prefered to go to the one in Chiang Mai where I got to visit an astounding elephant park as well. They seemed far more organized in the northern province. It is a great experience and the guides volunteer to take many pictures while you’re going across the ziplines, bridges, and down the rappel areas. It is truly an experience to remember and I am glad I was able to do it.
