On this two-hour morning walking tour of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter (known as the Barri Gotic), you will visit the district's streets, squares and old buildings, and learn about the quarter's history and people.
Alongside Barcelona's medieval buildings are the remains of the ancient Roman city, and the walking tour includes a visit to the Temple d'August, the best preserved Roman relic in Barcelona. You will also visit the Placa del Rei, where you will see many medieval buildings, including the Palatine chapel of Santa Agata.

Our group was only 8 and it was an ideal size. We received a lot of knowledge about the Gothic Quarter, the history of the Catalon region and everything about the old walled city. There are plenty of sights to be seen and you really geat a good overview that sets you up for further exploration

I did get a little lost while trying to find this tour and when attempting to call the provider there was no answer, which wasn't very helpful. Luckily, I was not the only one and was able to catch the tour before they moved off. Once the tour had started it was great, really informative!

Great way to learn about the history of Barcelona and Catalonia. The tour guide also works for the main museum so I think his information is more accurate than what I heard from other guides. So choice this one if you want to know the truth about Barcelona's history.

Highly recommended for families! The tour was two hours long which was totally manageable with our 3 young children. Our guide, Gina, was fantastic. We enjoyed her knowledge of the history and architecture, combined with the local stories and tales. In two hours you can only cover a small portion of the Gothic Quarter but this tour is enriched with beautiful treasures that will give you the taste to continue exploring on your own.

We had already been in Barcelona for two days when we went on this trip and I was concerned that we had already seen everything.I was so wrong I learnt so much more and visited roman ruins and hidden squares. Our tour guide Marta was exceptional in her knowledge of history of this area. She took time to answer questions and explained many interesting points along the stops that I doubt I would find in any guidebook. We took the morning tour when stores were beginning to open and before it got busy. The smells of freshly baked goods was everywhere. The entire walk was probably close to 2 hours, and well worth the price.
