Barcelona Highlights Private Day Tour including Park Guell

Explore the highlights of Barcelona on your own terms on this 8-hour customizable private tour. By car and by foot travel through the ages. Learn about the city's Roman origins at the Plaça Sant Jaume; stroll through medieval-era streets in the Gothic Quarter, and admire the modernist architecture of Passeig de Gràcia, as well as Gaudí's masterpiece La Sagrada Familia.

Get picked up from your Barcelona accommodations in the morning. Meet your private guide and, together with your group of no more than 10 people, get ready for a comprehensive 8-hour tour of the city.

Begin in Plaça Catalunya in the center of the city, and head for the street with the most distinctive Catalan architecture, Passeig de Gràcia.
Listen as your guide points out details on the most striking facades of the street's private modernist-style buildings, most notably La Pedrera by the famed Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudí. Nearby, the so-called ‘apple of discord’ block boasts more wonderful examples of modernist houses, including Gaudí’s Casa Batlló, Lluís Domènech i Montaner's Casa Lleó-Morera, and Josep Puig i Cadafalch's Casa Ametller.

Then, head to the historic Gràcia district to visit Park Güell (entrance at own cost), situated on a hill offering spectacular views of Barcelona. Stroll through the park to better understand the brilliant art of Gaudí. After the park, continue to the district of Eixample by private vehicle. Drive along its streets to the hidden modernist gem of Hospital de Sant Pau and Gaudí’s masterpiece, La Sagrada Familia. Then, head for the Mediterranean sea, passing by Plaza de Toros and the Agbar Tower. Once you reach Bogatell beach, cross the waterfront by Port Vell, the Gothic Drassanes, and the monument to Columbus, toward the World Trade Center.

From the coastline, climb Montjuïc mountain. At the top, enjoy the Mirador de l'Alcalde, a terrace that offers spectacular views over the Barcelona skyline. Discover some buildings related to the 1992 Olympic Games, including Palau Sant Jordi sporting arena, designed by Arata Isozaki, and perhaps make a wish at the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc.

From there head to the center of the Old Town. Finish the day with a relaxed walking tour through the charming corners of the Gothic Quarter, discovering the imprints of the city's Roman and medieval history. Admire the Gothic façade of Barcelona Cathedral and travel back in time to the origins of the city at Plaça Sant Jaume, where the City Hall is located today.

Conclude your tour back at your accommodations, or any other central location you might prefer.

Having just experienced two weeks of daily tours from Rome to Spain, this was by far the best of the best. Having a knowledgeable personal tour guide and drive is absolutely spectacular. Vicente started out asking us what our goals were for the day and he personalized the tour to match those goals. There is no way we would have seen so much of Barcelona without this tour. We learned so much about the culture and the people of Barcelona, in addition to some its rich history. It didn't feel rushed or canned as some of the group tours we'd been on. We had time to stroll, have a coffee in the morning and a wonderful lunch. Yet Vicente and our driver covered the entire city, from the Olympic sites, the beach, the Gothic quarter, the Gaudi building though to the Park Guell. They were not just drive by peaks either. We walked around the city and really left with insight and a desire to return.

We loved our private tour throughout Barcelona with Hannas. My two sons and I saw so much of the city on our first day. Helped us learn more about the city and its history and see some amazing parts of the city that we would not have seen otherwise during our 5 day trip.

This tour is fantastic and well worth the money. It is a private tour so it is extremely intimate and personalized. The tour provides an overview of the main highlights in Barcelona, and we were able to move through attractions as quickly or as slowly as we wanted. It was a good opportunity to make a mental flag for attractions we wanted to revisit in depth. We traveled in a private vehicle that was new and clean. Our tour guide, Hannes, was extremely kind and knowledgeable. He was able to show us many of the local places as we were passing through since that was one of my interests. He was extremely patient and made sure to make this tour about us. The booking process was extremely easy. The meet-up process was also easy. Our tour guide met us at our hotel and swept us off our feet! I highly recommend this tour.

Tatiana was on time. Very professional. I told her that we have a ship to board by a certain time so she made sure we got to see most of Barcelona. Very knowledgeable in all places she took us. She even have tickets for us for a fee to go in to the park but decided that it wasn't going to work with our schedule. I know she lost some money with those tickets but never made us feel obligated about it. She said it wasn't our fault and there was a miscommunication in her company's part. I will highly recommend her.

Ask for Miguel. Very nice young man who was extremely knowledgeable about Barcelona and its history. All we needed to do was tell him what our interests were and he knew exactly where to take us.
