Get creative with your camerawork on a 3.5-hour daytime photography tour of Barcelona. Taking in street art, landmarks and Antoni Gaudi architecture, the tour showcases some of the most interesting places to capture snapshots of Barcelonan life. Explore the buzzing neighborhoods of El Born and Raval; capture iconic shots from Port Vell and La Boqueria market; and learn about technique, exposure, lighting and composition from an expert guide. Experience and specialist equipment is not needed; just bring along a digital camera or smartphone! Numbers are limited to 12 on this small-group tour.
With your digital camera or smartphone in hand, meet your guide in the heart of trendy El Born, a neighborhood full of bars and terraces, that’s always buzzing with local life. Before jumping straight into the photography, your guide will discuss a few important points for taking great photos.
Then, explore the area, discovering the secrets to creative city photography. Learn how to frame the Modernist masterpieces of Born Cultural Centre as well as monumental basilicas and historical landmarks. El Born is also home to some of the city’s most attention-grabbing street art — sights you are sure to want to capture on film as a memento of your Barcelona vacation.
Continue through Port Vell, Barcelona’s historical port, and work your way up to higher ground to capture photos of sweeping panoramas over the harbor and city. Point your camera down over the fishing pier and discover the best angles to check out at this locals’ favorite vantage point.
Pass along the pier, seeing the famous Columbus Monument, and enjoy stops along the way to photograph colorful street art or perhaps a flawless Gothic building or snapshot of daily life. Soon, your route takes you into the Raval district, one of Barcelona’s more alternative neighborhoods, where the streets are steeped with a cosmopolitan vibe. Line up photos of Gaudi architecture, click away in front of the beautiful Film Library and take iconic Barcelona photos of streets flanked by balconied houses — all neatly bedecked with flowers.
Stop to photo the hustle and bustle at La Boqueria, a food market where the smells, shapes and colors of the city combine to set your senses alight. Snap away, getting the best ‘no filter’ shots, and purchase a quick bite for lunch if you'd like (own expense). Then work your way to Plaça dels Ángels, passing the MACBA contemporary art museum as you go. Your tour finishes at Plaça dels Ángels.

It was very informative and the view at San Gi was great! Lunch was a bit rushed but then the tour was faster paced and the 3 towns made a very full day.

The tour was excellent. The tour guide was very informative, and we got a lot of great pictures on the tour. I would definitely recommend Barcelona Photography Tour if you find yourself in Barcelona.

I highly recommend this tour. My tour guide was amazing, friendly and gave me lots of good tips. Walking around the non tourist and local areas was also good to get to see a different side/part of Barcelona. Highly recommend this:)

We did have a few issues finding the start place for this - the cultural centre at ~El Born is supposedly very important to Catalns but we were only 200 meters from it and none of the people we asked (including a traffic warden) recognised the name on the sheet?_br/_
Having said that once we found the start point the guide was very helpful, very knowledgeable and very flexible and is a real credit to you. We discussed that we had booked the gothic tour so he adapted the walk to concentrate more on other options. He was more than happy to allow us to spend more time on sites of special interest to us and provided much useful information for the rest of our visit. I am sorry to say I am terrible at remembering names but am sure you can identify him and hope you will pass on our gratitude.

I greatly enjoyed the tour. Alicia was very knowledgeable about the city. As I am an amateur/tourist photographer, her skills as a photography tutor was also exceptional. She showed me how to take more interesting and better shots with my compact camera and the camera on my smartphone.

It was well worth it. For some history into a lot of the city, for some great photos and photo opportunities. Thank you for your time.

LOVED this tour!! It was by far the best one of my trip to Barcelona. The beautiful Spanish girl who conducted the tour was absolutely lovely, had great local knowledge and showed us quirky parts of the city that I wouldn't have seen otherwise. She taught me the basics about my camera that helped me take great photos, and recommended a fab iPhone/ iPad editing app that has made my photos look amazing! Thank you! The tour could be improved a bit with a quick stop off for some food, due to the hours stretching right through lunch (10am-3pm ish), I was a bit flagging by the end of it! There were only two people on the tour I went on, which was great, but not sure it would work as well if there were the maximum number of people on it.
