You can hop on and off the tour as many times as you like aboard this sliding-roof double-decker bus. There are two tour routes, the East Route and the West Route, and they are interconnected so you can easily hop between them to discover the best of Barcelona while your ship is in port. East Route: The entire route takes 120 minutes (in winter) and 140 minutes (in summer). Buses depart every 7-15 minutes from each stop depending on the time of year. Highlights include: Placa Catalunya, Catedral-Barri Gòtic, Barceloneta, Port Olímpic, Sagrada Familia, Parc Güell, Tibidabo, La Pedrera, Casa Batlló. West Route: The entire route takes 120 minutes. Buses departs every 7 - 15 minutes from each stop. Highlights include: World Trade Center, Jardins de Miramar, Anella Olímpica, Poble Espanyol, Camp Nou (F.C. Barcelona), Montjuic, L’Illa Diagonal.

Can't beat the City Tour Hop on Hop Off. From the cruise port, we walked to the Port Vell pickup location, took Hop On Hop Off to Sagrada Familia for a tour and then back on the bus from there. Their stop is right across the street from Sagrada Familia.

We fell in love with the hop-on hop-off bus tours on this trip. The only problem was that some of the stops were quite far from where we wanted to see and there was no directional information on the map provided. As far as seeing the city from the bus it was great. Will definitely do it again on other trips. Saw many parts of Barcelona we had not even intended to visit.

Stop 4 instructions were good, but there was a closer stop 5 which was nearer to embarkation. Again due to time restraint by cruise line only about 1/4 of West tour was completed, Cruise shore time restrictions was the most frustrating for us. Second time for hop on and hop off in Barcelona, more time was given in 2015, service is good and helpful, maps and earpieces provided. tks

Barcelona is such an amazing city. The hop-on hop-off bus was definitely worth doing but didn't quite have enough time to do both routes to get full value for our day ticket. The staff also weren't quite as helpful with information on sights etc as other cities we've been too.

I would have liked a little more commentary. The two routes are long, and sometimes I felt we saw too many apartments. I wish we could have done it in two days. A lot for one day. If we had more time I think I would have enjoyed it more. But, we saw a lot of Baecelona that we could not have done on our own.

I give this 3 stars only because of the length of time taken to complete both routes which was about 5 hrs which included literally one 5 minute stop at the Sagrada Família Basilica. In our case we used the hop-on Hop-off bus as a way to get to the Sagrada Família from our cruise boat drop off point. In hindsight this was not the best option and as we did in other cities such as Athens and Rome we would have been better off hiring a van and driver . This would have ensured some stop off visits to a number of places rather than spend the whole day on the bus. _br/_ Having said that, if you have a few days in Barcelona then the hop on hop off bus is a great way to learn about the city and view the sights of this vibrant city.

These hop-on hop-off are the only and best way to get around madrid, or any other city. You probably should buy the 2 day. no need for expensive taxi. just great!

Our problem with this tour is that we boarded the bus at the cruise terminal port, not knowing that the bus only went one way - the wrong way when we wanted to get to the Sagrada Familia. After an hour of going east instead of west we had to get off and get a taxi to get to our arranged tour on time. The description of the service doesn't make it plain how this operates.

This is the perfect way to spend one day in Barcelona, especially if you have already been to Le Segrada, the Gaudi apartment and park. If not, just hop off and do so. There are two lines, an orange and a green. When you take them both, you see the entire city from a double decker bus....feeling the cool breezes all the way. It's perfect, and economical.

The description of the trip stated the buses were located a 20 minute walk from the cruise ship landing, This was not true. You should send someone there to find out the true location and change the description.

I chose to take one of 11,000 taxi's from the ship direct to Gaudi's Familia. I had purchased a ticket on-line for a 10 AM entry, and what a wonderful amazing building. From there, I got on the hop on hop off bus. Barcelona ended up being a favorite city.. very clean, and the bus drove thru all the streets of importance. I rode both routes available, then got off to have a wonderful lunch and Sangria , from there it was a walk down the main street full of crowds and sights, and another taxi back to the ship. All the Hop on Hop off Bus tours in any city is highly recommended.. with head phones in all different languages provided, and makes it easy to see the sights and decide where and when you want to get off.

Bus made it very easy to see everything we waned to. The map was also great pointing out the main attractions to see. I just wish the bus went the other direction as well so you can hop off and go back instead of all the way around the loop.

The main problem of this tour is the narration. The voice of the narrators English is somewhat boring, their pronunciation of the English words is not very good and they use the Spanish and not the English names for all the places and landmarks which made it very hard to follow. I strongly recommend that the administrators visit New York or Chicago Hop-on Hop-off tours to learn better how the narration should be done. Other than that, the tours covered all the landmarks, the stops are convenient and the bus frequency is good. The ride is comfortable and driver and assistant are helpful.

Had stress checking in as i had my voucher on my ipad and they required you have it on paper. This was what the people in the information desk says. But once in the bus, the guy was able to confirm my tour just by entering the code number. The information desk ladies did not know that and kept asking me to walk 400meters away to go to their office and have my voucher printed on paper in the dead heat of the sun with children.

The very high frequency of buses and the easy-to-read route maps made this a convenient way to get around Barcelona. My wife and I never had to wait for a seat on any bus, even though occupancy was high. Buses were comfortable, staff were helpful, and the overlapping routes were scenic.

Excellent way to a lot in one day of shore excursion. We enjoyed viewing the city from the bus and had time to get off at a few places we definitely wanted to see close up. The tour consists of two routes each taking around 2 hours. What a beautiful city with marvelous architecture. A very enjoyable day which made me want to visit Barcelona again for a longer period.

We have been to Barcelona twice before. However, we were with family that had never been there. Taking the Hop-on Hop-off Tour was wonderful. We stayed on for both the red and green routes and were fortunate enough to see a lot more of the area than we had every seen before. It really made us want to spend more time there .... next time.

Ideal if you have a short stay and you want to visit as much as possible. They have three lines and you can switch back and forth between them. Busses run very often, so we never had to wait.

The hop-on, hop-off bus was convenient to the port of Barcelona. The tour itself is comprised of two separate tours - each taking 2 to 2 1/2 hours, so if you don't have a full day probably need two days, you probably won't be doing much hopping on and off. Very nice look of, and feel for, the city of Barcelona.
