Barcelona Super Saver: Skip-the-Line La Sagrada Familia Tour plus Artistic Barcelona Tour

Barcelona, Spain

Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of Antoni Gaudi on a Barcelona Super Saver that combines two top-selling tours for a discounted price! With an expert local guide, head past the long entrance lines of La Sagrada Familia with a skip-the-line entrance ticket, and enjoy a walking tour around Gaudi’s famously unfinished church. In the afternoon, enjoy a skip-the-line tour of Park Güell and stroll down Passeig de Gràcia to see Casa Batlló and La Pedrera, two of the artist's most eye-catching creations.

Skip-the-Line La Sagrada Familia Tour (1.5 hours):
Meet your guide and walk straight past the long entrance lines, which are often in excess of two hours, to Antoni Gaudi’s Gothic masterpiece: La Sagrada Familia. After skipping the line, set off to explore Barcelona’s attention-grabbing church on a walking tour.

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, La Sagrada Familia is consecrated and was proclaimed a minor basilica by Pope Benedict XVI. Learn all about its fascinating history from your guide, and hear how Gaudi designed the church’s interior as a Latin cross complete with five aisles. Gaze in admiration at the opulent ornamentation and walk underneath vaults that measure some 230-feet (70-meters) high.

Before leaving the church, visit La Sagrada Familia Museum to see drawings, plaster models and pictures about the development of the church since the late 1880s. La Sagrada Familia remains famously unfinished, and the museum also documents information about the construction that is currently underway. The anticipated completion date of the building is 2026: the centennial of Gaudi’s death.

Artistic Barcelona Tour with Skip-the-Line Entry to Park Güell (3 hours):
Meet your guide outside La Sagrada Familia for your afternoon tour and then wander across to one of Barcelona’s top UNESCO World Heritage sites: Park Güell.

Another Gaudi creation, Park Güell is an extensive garden complex located on the hill of El Carmel. Known for its architectural features with mosaic terraces, walls and eye-catching sculptures, the park attracts lengthy entrance lines. Skip past the wait lines with your fast-track ticket and head inside to explore with your guide.

After visiting Park Güell, stroll down Passeig de Gràcia, the street that’s home to the famous Gaudi creations of Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. Learn how the buildings were designed as lavish private residences, and pose for photos in front of their facades. Your tour then finishes near Casa Batlló. Please note: From 01/04/2016 this tour will conclude at : La Pedrera (Provença str, 261-265)

Excellent trip, guides knowledgeable. Easy walk, Sagrada Familia definitely worth it, but the other sites are just ok.

This was an exceptional tour. We had an excellent guide who was top notch in explaining the details of this stunning church. After 1 hour and 15 minutes of touring there, we took a bus to Park Guell with a new guide, who was also very good. This time the group was a mix of English and Spanish speakers, so there was down team for everyone, while the guide repeated the narration in the other language. The tour ended at Gaudi's apartments, with commentary explaining their history. A well spent 41/2 hours.

The day of the tour was raining. We had an excellent tour of LaSagrada. We were then turned over to another guide for Park Guell. It is several miles out of the city. When we got there, he decided it was raining and we would skip this. The park was opened and we saw people going in and out and other buses were there. When I stated I wanted to go, he told me he would give me my ticket and I could go myself. He further told me it would be my responsibility to get back to the city, which as stated was several miles away. What was really galling was the bus was returning to Barcelona for a walking tour, which was also in the rain. That he was willing to do. We were told there were no rain checks for Park Guell. This was a major disappointment.

The tour provided an extensive tour and commentary by the guide of the Sagrada Familia as well as a bus ride to the park, which would have been a very steep walk. It also included visits to the exteriors of two Gaudi houses with commentary by the tour guide. The skip the line aspect was a real bonus in the Sagrada Familia, as the lines were very long. Well worth the price.

The Sagrada Familia part of the tour was enlightening. The Gaudi part Artistic Barcelona was a bit of a disappointment. We spent a lot of time traipsing around greenery in Park Guell and seeing only some of the Gaudi sculptures we knew were there. When my husband spied a chapel and asked if we would return to it, the guide said we would, but we didn't. Also, the combined tour started too late, and we were exhausted trudging toward the last few houses. The guide said the last one was a block away when it was about 3 blocks away.

You can't go to Barcelona without visiting this church. My wife and I have seen lots and lots of churches in many countries but this is the most spectacular. We are not Catholic but this is truly a spiritual House of God. We would love to attend a service in the cathedral but our schedule did not allow that to happen. The church is always crowded so this was a reasonable tour. We had about 2024 people on the tour. The guide truly loved this church and knew everything about it. We highly recommend visiting the church._br/_ The second part of the tour was to the park. We enjoyed it but not nearly as much as the church. If time is limited just do the church. The tour guide was fine and the tour of the park and other buildings was ok but it got long.

Both guides were excellent. We enjoyed both tours. Sagrada Familia is a must do in Barcelona and the guide provides an excellent insight of the church's mysteries.

Yes, the masses converge on this site, but it is still worth it. One of my favorite churches to see. Beautiful_br/_ I recommend taking the tour for the information and skipping the lines.

We did get into the cathedral. The group was large. The crowds inside and the microphone-listening device was inadequate for understanding the information. The Artistic Barcelona Tour was led by a different person. It was informative and somewhat easier to hear. We definitely wanted to see everything that we could of Gaudis work, which we did. The access to the cathedral was excellent in that we had time to take photographs from many angles. The interior overwhelms with its color, light, expressiveness, artistry. Obviously, seeing the works are fundamental to a trip to Barcelona. If you can afford to take a private tour, you might enjoy the experience far more.

Mixed reviews. People at the Julia Travel Office were rude and curt. Guide at La Familia Sagrada was really good. Our guide for the artistic tour was really hard to understand and just OK.

The tour and the tour guides were very good but it seems that Julia Travel does not notify them when there is a handy cap person on the tour and they have to make last minute adjustments so everyone in the group pays the price.

I was with 4 friends and in addition to our group of 5, there were probably 4-5 others that joined the tour. While I think 10 people were manageable for this tour, I wouldn't want any more, as the Sagrada Familia is incredibly busy and small tour groups are better served. Our guide for the first part, the La Sagrada Familiar tour, was just okay. His voice was not very pronounced and he ran through the tour fairly quickly. I think I would've gotten the same out of the tour, had I done a self-guided audio tour.

The second part of the tour The Güell Park was O.K. The tour of La Sagrada Familia was far from O.K. Nearly an hour spent in the museum downstairs and you do not need a guide for that, since everything is explained in Spanish and English!!!. There was no time left to explore the interiors of the Church on our own. My advice: get an entry ticket in advance an enjoy the place! It's worth seeing, but do it without an annoying guide along.

After tours in Italy, this tour was good but certainly not as good as Italy. I am not a fan of Gaudi - sorry and no disrespect. Amazing what he was able to achieve gifted talented man but not my cup of tea.

We loved the tour, especially the Artistic Barcelona portion given bu Georgez. He was wonderful, enthusiastic and knowledgable. Isabel was an adequate tour guide for Sagrada Familia but not nearly half of what Georgez offered us.

For someone traveling from the US, the selling points were the convenience of timing...3pm worked out for me...perfectly._br/_ Next, the folks I was with. There were others from the US!_br/_ The convenience of having the fees paid...what a blessing..._br/_ The clear instructions/guide in English...the Spanish gp had a diff guide/professional_br/_ My first exposure to modernista architecture with perspective from a local guide..._br/_ To end it all-a great drop off location on passeig de gracia next to a top notch tapas bar...

We decided to go with the Viator - Julia Travel tour of these two '' have to see'' Barcelona classics. The skip the line was an important factor in our decision as was the ''max 9 per group''. Our group turned out to be 30 ! and the quality of the interaction with the guides was clearly affected by the huge group size._br/_ However the two guides were great and kudos to them for delivering excellent presentations while dealing with these appauling working conditions. The tour office staff certainly needs to work on client service and overall attitude. Maybe they see hundreds of tourists a day but these tourists need to be reassured that they are at the right place, for the right tour and where to go next._br/_ No regrets for the two main sights, La Sagrada and Guell Park, but plenty for the tour company.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job. Wish we hade more time in the museum and did not realize how hard the climb would be to the _br/_ Acropolis. Went on the Poseidon tour in the afternoon and it was well worth while seeing the Greek Riviera, beautiful scenery, the drive was better than the ruins.

The tour guide for the church was well informed and pointed out many things I would not have noticed. The Park Guell tour was a bit slow as the tour guide used a lot of repetition, but was also well informed.

This was a great tour, particularly since you could end at Sagrada Familia and thus stay as long as you want - which is what I did. I was there about 1 1/2 hours and got to leisurely go through the museum and the church. It's such an extraordinary building. One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Prior to Sagrada Familia, we saw the inside and outside of Casa Battlo and that was really wonderful, too. Sure was nice to not have to wait in those long lines! If you like Gaudi you will love this tour.

The tour of the Sagrada Familia was wonderful - great guide and good information. THe guide in Guell Park was too long winded at one site near Gaudi's house under trees with parrots who didn't want us there. He was using up time to get to the timed ticket but could have mover to other spots and not used up so much time in one spot. Little to no free time to enjoy the park. also soad that now it is roped off and one needs a timed ticket to enjoy the place. I know it wasn't like that last summer however, that isn't fault of Viator.

Review by:   lindafeijo,    September 2016 Review: 4 star rating: Recommended
Well organized and the tour guides were great. Would have liked to spend more time in the Sagrada de Familia. It seemed rushed mostly due to other tourists wasting everyone else's time asking benign questions and making the whole group wait while running off for ice cream. I would definitely book a private tour next time.

I was concerned of the timing of this tour. Why would it start at 3:00pm? Well once you are inside the Sagrada Familia the lighting is spectacular. The burst of colors and shapes from the stained glass windows is sublime. Great tour.

The Sagrada is beautiful. Unfinished. Our first guide provided good information and interesting facts. The second guide, for the Gaudi park and Artistic tour was difficult to understand and was unenthusiastic. The tour pace and bus ride were good. Again, a better map or indicator of where the location of the meeting place is would be helpful. Perhaps a picture or a link to local map.

The view from the outside does not prepare you for the beauty and artistic display of colors from inside. I could have spent more time appreciating Gaudi's genius.

Extremely good. Guide was great. Sound system ex._br/_ Only problem was we should have done the 2 tours separately as it was a long day in the hot sun and would have been more enjoyable with a break between tours but that was our mistake.

Beautiful must see La Sagrada Familia. The walking tour was a bit long and many people skipped the last stop because we were so tired by then. Park Guell was also very beautiful.

Too rushing a tour, where in some places, such as Park Guell, we simply do not spend enough time.

Review by:   Edward J,    July 2016 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
La Sagrada Familia is amazing - a must see in Barcelona. The tour was terribly unorganized - we were to change tour guides and one didn't know where the other was. I would recommend to anyone to do the La Sagrada Familia then leave the tour and enjoy extra time at the church. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and interesting, but we were rushed from spot to spot. Virtually no time was given to really take in the beauty, much less take a quick photo. The Park Guell was a waste of time. We rushed to the primary attraction, then were given just a few minutes to look around OR visit the gift shop OR use the rest room. Then, had to rush back to the bus. The bus stopped far away from the apartment that was to be viewed, so almost noone felt they had the energy to walk the long distance to see the rest of the tour. The tour was worth it for the La Sagrada Familia though too rushed, but the Park Guell and the rest of the Artistic Tour was a complete waste of time and money. Too rushed to enjoy.
