The first thing you must know about the Eixample district, that it is an outdoor museum! With countless constructions from the Catalan modernism period from the XIX century, in this route you will learn about modern style and it’s fusion with the contemporary movement really present in this beautiful and energetic city. 

The galleries we’ll visit are the best on this part of the town and there are many differences among them. Each one has a particular position and it will give to you a wider panorama of the different manifestations of contemporary art from all around the world.

Your tour begins at the renowned brewery Fàbrica Mortiz, that occupies one of the ancient buildings of the Eixample and keep some curiosities that you will find out with us. After riding by the neighborhood our fist stop is 3 Punts Galeria, a place that works with the promotion, distribution of contemporary art in all its disciplines, committed in understanding and improving the social reality of our days. 

The next visit is the highly regarded Joan Prats, active since 1976 is the oldest contemporary art gallery in Barcelona. Has been since its opening one of the pioneers in the international contemporary scene, being committed to spread and provide the lecture on the different languages specially promoting the Spanish art. 

Between one piece of art an another, you can taste a fresh Aigua de Moritz (0,0% alcohol beer ). A break moment that you can chat and talk with an expert in contemporary art guide about your doubts and questions. The last but not the least gallery we will visit is Adn a space really devoted with the political and cultural issues in our contemporary society, aiming at promoting current artistic ideas and trends.

To complete your tour you  will appreciate important art works of Catalan artists like Joan Brossa and Josep Maria Subirachs; and the Tàpies Foundation, the most important center in the district dedicated to contemporary art. After this cultural tour you  will come back to Fàbrica Moritz and have a delicious draft beer that invites the brewery and have the opportunity to enjoy this cool place remodeled by the french architect Jean Nouvel.
