Costa Brava and Girona Day Trip from Barcelona including Easy Hike: Small groups

Enjoy this small-group day trip and visit first the coastal Costa Brava where you can enjoy some hiking, and then the medieval Girona, where you can walk through this historic city and discover its Jewish quarter and medieval cathedral.

Once you are picked up from a centrally located meeting point in Barcelona, you will first head to Costa Brava - a coastal area near Barcelona famous for its beauty. You will admire its amazing rock formations, clifts and cristal turquoise sea water. 
Once arrived to the unique Costa Brava, you will enjoy an easy hike through the amazing coastal path and you will discover old fishing villages and hidden beaches that are only accessible by foot. You will also admire the astonishing views from cliffs (Please note that even though the hike included in this tour is easy, it is not recommended for individuals who have difficulty walking). 
Afterwards we will head to Girona, where you will have time for lunch (not included) and enjoy the local cusine if you wish.
Then you will enjoy a pleasant guided walk along the historic medieval quarter, where you will be able to admire its historical Jewish quarter (one of the most well preserved in Europe) and the astonishing Cathedral, dating from 1417 (the widest Gothic cathedral in the world).
In Girona you will also see the Onyar river and the famous colorful houses that are flanking the waterside, 
You will then be taken back to Barcelona.

This was a fantastic tour, with expert commentary and breathtaking sites! The hiking was a bit more involved than easy but not too complicated! The beach and hilltop views were spectacular.

Really great day out from the city. Small group of 6. great guide._br/_ Easy hike along the coastline. Nothing strenuous. Walk thru a very small fishing village. Beautiful views. Nice couple of hours._br/_ An hour and a half for lunch or just wander in Girona before a walking tour of the medieval section including the Jewish Section/Area. _br/_ Lunch in the square was great your choice of about 8 restaurants, you pay, not inc in tour, under the sun, wonderfully relaxing.

I highly recommend this tour. It is a well designed and well paced tour. Took the tour with my family wife and 8 year old twins. It was a perfect family outing. Unlike other tours, this tour is truly a small group tour. The size of the tour group allowed us to get to know everyone in the tour and as a result, the overall experience was fantastic. The tour guide Ferran who is also the owner of the tour company was exceptionally courteous and knowledgeable. Mario, the second guide on the trip, was excellent and ensured my children was able to keep up with the group. Both of them were extremely attentive to the needs of the entire group.

Our small group of 9 travelled with Ferran and Ivan in their minivans, travelled to Costa Brava for a walking tour along the coastline, to observe the beauty of the area and learn of the history and culture of the Catalan people. The views were breathtaking as we walked at a leisurely pace along the shoreline. We then travelled to Girona where we enjoyed a fabulous lunch in the square outside the medieval quarter. After lunch we entered the old city via a bridge designed by Gustaf Eiffel._br/_ Our guides walked us through old city providing us with an insight of the different era's, and how Girona changed over time. Visited the cathedral, the jewish quarter and walked the old wall to get a spectacular panoramic view of the city and its surrounds._br/_ We then returned to Barcelona via the motorway, completing a fabulous day._br/_ This tour was well planned, and flowed at a comfortable pace, our guides were enthusiastic and informative._br/_ We highly recommend this tour and will be using Mont Escape next time we are in Barcelona.

Get your hiking shoes on and get ready for one amazing day. We enjoyed this tour the most. The guide was very informative. And the views were breathe taking. If you don't visit Costa Brava, then you won't get the best of the outskirts of Barcelona. The water is so beautiful, and this was a great day outside the hustle and bustle of busy Barcelona. Thanks to Monte Escape we had an amazing day. This is a must do if you're visiting the area.
