Flamenco Night at Tablao Cordobes

Barcelona, Spain

Feel the passion of the flamenco at Barcelona's legendary Tablao Cordobes, where some of the greatest names in flamenco have performed. Entertained by an internationally renowned flamenco group, you'll discover why the traditional dance of Spain is so popular. You'll also have the option of dining on a traditional buffet meal or simply ordering a drink to enjoy while watching the show.

The flamenco show reveals the variety of music, singing and dancing incorporated in this passionate art form. Improvisation is a key element of flamenco, with each artist individually interpreting the rhythm and communicating the beat to the other players. Communication between the artists and audience is also an important part of the performance.

While being entertained by a fabulous live flamenco show, you have the option to enjoy a traditional Spanish buffet meal with 33 different hot and cold dishes, including paella. You can also enjoy traditional pastries and fruit. A selection of drinks are also available during your meal, including wine, sangria, beer, soft drinks, mineral water and coffee. Alternatively, you can simply order a drink to enjoy while watching the show.

Such a great experience! The food before the show was delicious and because we had dinner there we got priority seating so we were able to sit in the front row. The show itself was amazing! Such impressive dancers! We loved everything about this

Wonderful food - come hungry! So much variety, and surprising foods, plus white and red wine were waiting on the tables as we arrived to our dining seats. _br/_ Emotional performance - very good showcase of the dance and song style. Please come on time! It felt rude to the improvising performers, when people were opening the theater door, trying to sneak in. _br/_ A drink of champagne or sangria is also served to enjoy with the show. _br/_ Kids were mesmerized, and if you let go of thinking too much, it is truly an emotionally charged show that will last in your memory. _br/_ Excellent evening! You can even snap a few videos and photos, but only at the end of the show, please respect that.

Excellent package. To be recommended. Heaps of delicious food as much as you can eat, drinks as much as you want. Champagne during show. Very well organised with friendly staff who were welcoming and provided lots if information.

We had a very pleasant evening, the dinner was fine not remarkable and the entertainment very well done. We totally agreed with a trusted guidebook's assessment which we actually read after our experience, that the Table Cordobes flamenco performances are of a high caliber, if not very authentic to the Catalan region quite Spanish, however!. We appreciated having priority seating for the show, because we'd opted for the dinner as well.

This was a good show. Fun and interesting but somewhat repetitive. The guitarists are outstanding. The dancers are really good as well. The two guys that danced were incredible. Note that those who select the meal with the show get seated first. However, there is no bad seat in the house. Location is on Las Ramblas about halfway from Catalunya Square to the Christopher Columbus statue near the port on the right side of Las Ramblas as you're heading towards the port. The sign is rather small because it is primarily an entryway to an upstairs venue. See the picture that indicates what to look for.

This was a FANTASTIC show! I would HIGHLY recommend this show to anyone! You get a drink with the show - your choice of Sangria or white wine. The Sangria was delicious! I would have given 5 stars if there was a bit more space. They had so many people packed in and it was very difficult to get up if needed. A few people around us mentioned feeling claustrophobic so my only advice is give people a bit more space. Be ready - at the very end they let you pull out your camera! I would HIGHLY recommend this show to anyone!

This was the worst performance I've ever seen. Located on the La Ramblas- it is a complete tourist trap and I'm assuming not authentic flamenco dancing. I'll start by saying this is a very small theater, however the views are not that great. They seat you so you have no choice as to where you are sitting. We were placed in the corner of the third row. My husband couldn't see the whole stage unless he leaned over. In addition you could not even see the feet of the dancers which was quite frustrating. The singers if you could even call them that sounded like they were either choking a cat or had swallowed a frog. It was painful to listen to them. None of the performers had any chemistry with each other or the audience. Please save your money and do not attend this show. I'm sure there are other Flamenco shows out there that would be worth the time and money but this was definitely not it. Yes it was that bad.

We did not enjoy this at all. The people outside that let you in were rude and provided bad information I don't think they spoke English. When we finally got upstairs, we were shoved into a table next to the bar that wobbled and was right in the way we kept getting bumped.... The food at the buffet was disgusting, most of what we tried was not cooked. I was seriously grossed out when we watched them dry off cups and silverware, the staff member took a rag out that was shoved up under the bar on the customer side... not a clean rag, wiped his face and hands, then dried cups and silverware and delivered it out to tables. The show itself is done in a very small room where they shove people in like sardines. It's very loud and you don't get to choose a seat. The show was ok, but not really our style. I think our bad experience at dinner soured the show. I would not recommend this, From what we heard from friends there are better ones in Barcelona.

This Flamenco show is a rip-off and a tourist trap. They shove tourists in like sheep. The show is horrible and run by an over-the-hill mom and pa operation. Instead of Flamenco you get 30 minutes of guitar playing which is not what you are paying for. The female singer, Mara Ray has no voice and is stuffed into a dress 5 sizes too small for her 180 pound figure. The other male singers, Bocaillo, Manuel Tanter and El Coro has raspy voice that make you wince. Of the dancers Marime Amaya looks so gruncy and morose that you feel she is a captive of the owners trying to pay off her smugglers fee. The male dancers, Furru and Juan de Juan are excellent. Audience reaction was relief that the show ended. The drink offered was unpalatable. There are better options.

OUR FAV PART OF BARCELONA! At 1st I thought this might be over priced - but it is not! Along the La Rambla you enter Tablao Cordobes. You have 1 hour to relax and enjoy a very nice buffet. They include sangria and other samples they bring to your table. After dinner you are let into the Flamenco show. The flamenco show is 1 hour long - so I feel like half the price is all you can eat wonderful buffet and the other half is front row seats to a wonderful flamenco show! Small space so every seat is a great intimate view. We saw 4 dancer/singers, they did acoustic guitar solos/songs. Absolutely so entertaining. They only let you take video/photos during the last part so people may have limited photos. Very talented and impressive!

Attendees should be forewarned. In a iPhone world it is impossible to enjoy the purity of the performance with the constant tourist misuse during the program.

Probably the best part of our 2 week trip. To be 100 honest, the flamenco night at tablao cordobes truly exceeded our expectations and we really enjoyed our night! From the start of the evening, we were greeted by very friendly hosts who escorted us to our table with a very picturesque view of las ramblas. The food and wine were splendid, and probably one of the best dining experiences we have had in barcelona. Needless to say, the performances were breathtaking and well worth our time and money, and would highly recommend to anyone visiting barcelona who wants a memorable evening that will make you want to come back again!

I have seen other Flamenco shows and this one was ok. The venue was nice, small and personal as expected. However, the performance was sub par. However, for someone who doesn't have experience in watching Flamenco dancing, they might think it's a great show.

We opted for the one hour performance with a complimentary cocktail. It was cool, but I frankly cannot at all imagine sitting thru a 2 or 3 hour performance. Clearly a personal opinion. I felt like an hour was more than enough - we checked it off the list. Don't get me wrong, the performance was nice, the dancing and singing which is really really loud chanting was good, but there's a lot of repetition and you almost feel like the dancers primarily the women were competing for the spotlight. My husband and daughter had better viewing than I did, as I was on the end a row at the side stage so really didn't have a very good view. At the same time though, the peeps in the front row were getting sprayed with sweat flying off the heads of the male dancers who were soaked in perspiration. It's a small famous venue and I'm glad we went, but definitely not something we'd do again.

So little disappointed with process. We couldnt get tickets for dinner and a show, so we opted for show w/drink. What we didnt know was that the dinner guest and you watch the same show. This was an issue because we werent even allowed into the building until our ticket time. So this meant to things... 1 Dinner guest filled in the best viewing seats and 2 We missed the start of the show. We were stuck in the back corner where viewing was challenging. The dancers were terrific. My advise, go for the dinner or not at all.

I have seen several other Flamenco shows and felt that this one spent too much time on the singers rather then the dancers. The guitarist were great and very accomplished.
