Gay Friendly City Center Walking Tour in Barcelona

In this 3-hour tour, you will explore the historic city center including Plaza Cataluña and La Rambla with the help of a professional and experienced guide.
Once your guide meets you at your hotel, you will start this 3-hour tour heading to Plaza de Catalunya passing through one of the city's main streets, Paseo de Gracia. As you stroll through this area you will enjoy a delightful promenade observing all the modernism architecture, like La Pedrera, Casa Batlló, Casa Amatller, Casa Lleó i Morera, the Coliseum theatre or Casa Rocamora.
Once you get to Plaza de Catalunya, you will continue the tour walking by the famous Ramblas street discovering unique spots like the Canaletes fountain, the Roman tombs, Santa Maria del Pi church, Boqueria market, Liceo theater, Royal Plaza, Güell Palace and Columbus monument, where your experience ends.
This tour includes a light refreshment to be enjoyed, at some point on the itinerary, to cool down and recharge batteries at a local bar.
I just wanted to give an update of our Gay Friendly City Center Walking Tour with Jordi this morning. Jordi is a fantastic tour guide. It was like meeting a old friend to show us around the city. Even though we have been to Barcelona 3 other times, we learned a lot that we didnt know about the area and saw places we have never seen before. He was very prompt and greeted us in the lobby. We got right out to the tour. He is a wealth of knowledge and very personable guy. We would highly recommend this tour to the Gay community or gay friendly tourists and hope you are able to have Jordi do the tour with you. Rainbow Barcelona is extremely helpful and responsive to our requests.

Jordi is an energetic and friendly guide who knows a lot about Barcelona's history and is not shy about sharing it. He's funny and fun to be with--he gave us a lot of insight into the politics of Barcelona and Catalunya, past and present and it was fascinating to learn. The tour itself covers time from Roman columns to the Gothic cathedral, the beautiful church of St Mary by the Sea and it's great to wander through the narrow streets of the medieval Gothic quarter--even got to see a tiny synagogue. Occasional highlights of gay history are included and it was wonderful to see public monuments to the LGBT community in a city that is, by and large, welcoming to everyone. This tour was fun, far too short, and Jordi is an excellent guide.

Our experience with this company was great. From the day we made our purchase to the day that we arrived to take our tour, there was an open line of email communication. They worked with us to supply the best experience, letting us alter the places to see that would fit within the 4 hour time frame - with a slight amount of extra time if needed._br/_ Our very friendly guide Marc, was knowledgeable about nearly everything. For the couple of times that he wasn't certain about something, he was upfront in letting us know. Barcelona is big and he made it easy for us, giving additional tips on how to go about on our own.
