Medieval Towns of Catalonia from Barcelona

Visit the beautiful medieval villages around La Garrotxa Volcanic Area. Awesome medieval Besalú first, then the stunning views of Castellfollit de la Roca, a medieval village on the top of a cliff and finally, a great traditional catalan lunch in the adorable little old town of Santa Pau, inside the Natural Park.

You will be picked up at the meeting point at 8:30am and ride on the comfortable small bus for around one hour and a half heading North.You will arrive at Besalú and have a walking tour around its magnificent well-preserved medieval town.

After the morning visit in Besalú, you will have the chance to delight in the spectacular views from the basalt cliffs of Castellfollit de la Roca, formed millions of years ago with the lava flows from the volcanoes.

Right after, you will head to Santa Pau, a fairy-tale medieval village located in the middle of the Natural Parc and Volcanic Area. There you will have time to enjoy a tasty traditional Catalan meal and walk around the natural breathtaking surroundings. 

After this discovering trip day, you will be back in Barcelona city center in just one hour and a half.
