This was a wonderful tour! Our guide was informative, friendly, and spoke excellent English. The area is beautiful, and we enjoyed the walk down from the top after the cable car ride to the top. (By the way, we saw many people attempting the walk up who may not have been adequately prepared for some of the steep areas in the walk.) I would recommend this tour!

This tour was great. We only had 6 people and the driving was very nice and accommodating with our schedules and what we wanted to see. I would recommend this trip as it was an easy, comfortable ride to the mountains and back with a great tour guide.

Fran was amazing and very friendly. We enjoyed the monastery, cable car and the walk over the bridge. The cable car ride gave us a higher perspective and an opportunity to see the mountain's profile at eye level. Throughly enjoyed the hike down. Thank you Fran!

Ferran, our guide was very professional, on time, and paced the tour well. He guided the tour very deftly being there when you needed him and in the background when you didn't. Our party of 6 made up the majority of the group yet he included the other two seamlessly in the total group. The entire tour was made more enjoyable by having such a wonderful guide. The one thing I would say is that for many older Americans or out of shape, the hike is moderate, but doable. Everyone really enjoyed the tour.

This was a fabulous tour to the monastery at Montserrat. It included everything that was on my wish list and more-the boys choir, Black Madonna, a cable car ride up the mountain for fabulous views. Our guide Ferran spelling? spent a lot of time giving information on the monastery and its history as well as the countryside. We were a group of 8-a nice number. We had no trouble hearing what was said and our guide was able to answer all of our questions. I would certainly recommend this tour. Do wear comfortable shoes for the walk down the hillside.

Our guide, Ferran from Mont Escapes met us on time at our hotel. The van was new and very nice for traveling. Ferran was very informative about what we would see and how important it was to meet certain deadlines since crowds would cause delays at the black Madonna and the boys choir if we did not stay ahead. This was great because we were able to have a leisurely and informative tour without wasting time standing in unnecessary lines. Ferran was very knowledgeable on the history surrounding Montserrat. I would highly recommend him for your future tours. Montserrat is well worth the time to see and the drive from Barcelona affords you a view of some beautiful countryside

Great tour, though the weather did not give us the views we hoped for. The tour and the guide were excellent. We got there early before the crowds and had easy access to the Black Madonna. The boy's choir sang for 10 minutes and the hike back down was pleasant but with limited views on the day we were there due to cloud cover.

Unbelievable! We had our tour guide all to ourselves and he was amazing. The views were spectacular! The hike was great and it was definitely geared toward our athletic ability which was perfect for us. I highly recommend!!! Must do if you are in Barcelona!

A stunningly wonderful tour. Our guide, Ferran Batllori, was incredibly informative not only about Montserrat but also Catalonia, the economy, history and culture. Very well informed and personable. Since we arrived ahead of the tour buses, we were able to tour the monastery in front of the crowd. The hike up the mountain side above the monastery was a definite plus particularly since the weather was good. Wear decent hiking shoes but the trail is very manageable we're in our late 60s but fit. Ferran checked to see if the children's choir would be singing that day and made sure we were inside the church in ample time. And on our return to the hotel, he took us through the Montjuic area and described all of the Olympic village sites and attractions in that area. The quality/price ratio for this tour was very high...a bargain for a incredible trip that still left us time to get to the Picasso museum later in the day.

Our guide Jose was fantastic!!!! He took great care of us the entire time. Very thoughtful and wanted to ensure the experience was what we wanted. He gave us choices and we decided how we wanted the day to go. Our hotel was outside of Barcelona and he was kind enough to pick us up and drop us off as well, this was no issue for him. We had 2 children with us and he was great with them. I cannot say enough great things, this tour is a must see. The mountain is just beautiful, you have to visit for sure!!!

Small group tour with hotel pick up/drop off just my family of 4 basically a private tour. Very flexible and enjoyable. Very small tour company that works hard to make your happy. Guide Feran was very knowledgable and courteous. Would definitely consider using them again when in Barcelona.

We highly recommend this trip._br/_ Our guide Ferran picked us up at our hotel at the scheduled time._br/_ The drive from our hotel to Montserrat took approximately 45 minutes as we were staying in the older part of Barcelona. Ferran pointed out many interesting points of interest during the drive and answered our questions about the surrounding area._br/_ Once there the tour of the monetary was very informative and he allowed us time for photos. After the monastery it was a ride on the cable car to the top of the mountain. We then hiked to some interesting areas on the mountain. He then asked us about our choices of which route to descend. We based it on our physical abilities and he confirmed._br/_ I do have to admit that the hike down was long and mostly in the sun so be aware. However we enjoyed the spectacular views and the commentary by Farren._br/_ Once back to the monastery we were allowed time to shop in the gift store or grab a quick snack. Then it was the drive back to the hotel as we talked about what we saw._br/_ We recommend you bring water for the hike, although a bottle of water was provided at the beginning of the trip, it may not be enough for some. Also bring some snacks to enjoy along the way as the hike can be lengthy._br/_ We highly recommend this tour as Ferran was very informative and we enjoyed the sights. _br/_ Thank you Ferran for being an awesome tour guide and for a memorable trip!

This tour was terrific! Four of us went in mid-June and were lucky that we were the only ones on this tour. Mark, our guide, picked us up at our hotel and was a wonderful host for the trip. He spoke excellent English, was extremely polite and helpful, and made us feel at home. The mountains and monastery are absolutely beautiful. The hike down from the top of the funicular roughly a 45-degree cable car that goes up the mountain was a little steep, but we managed. Mark was very patient and accommodating, though. I highly recommend this trip to get outside of the city and see beautiful mountains and a historic monastery.

Our guide was not very understanding of our groups physical impairments and set a very rapid pace. We enjoyed the stories that we heard, but we passed up the chance to see the Black Madonna without understanding that was what we had done. He also could have dropped us off at the top of the hill instead of parking the van down the hill.

After a ride in the cable car, a walk back down the mountain admiring the amazing views and rock formations we toured the Montserrat Abby and listened to the boys choir, what a treat! Montserrat is a must see! The Basilica is absolutely beautiful. We rode the cable car up and did some hiking. Amazing views from the top. I totally recommend Mont Escape tour's for your visit to Montserrat. Marc our guide was fabulous. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Montserrat and he let us take our time looking around.

Pick up was super easy and convenient! Our tour guide was very informative and helpful. Loved the small group! The hike was a little harder than I anticipated, but I'm also not in great shape. LOTS of hills. Mostly downhill, but that was hard, too, because of how steep it is. We had a 5 year old with us and she managed to do it, but needed some help sometimes going down some steep steps.

Tour of Montserrat was amazing! We got lucky that the other people in our group cancelled so we got a private tour. Ferran was very knowledgable and experienced and knows the trail very well. The hike was amazing and breathtaking. He explained everything very well, from the history of the monastery to the small plants that we pass by along the hike. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Mont Escape. We look forward to going back to Spain and hopefully having Ferran tour us around the other wonderful sites in Barcelona.

Last week we enjoyed a guided tour of Montserrat Monastery with Ferran Guide/Owner of Mont Escape Tours. I cant imagine a better tour experience. Superb in every way. Ferran licensed mountain guide expertly encouraged us to push ourselves and climb parts of the mountain most tourists never get to. The views and pictures from these unique vantage points were breathtaking. Our guide also did an amazing job of routing us around the long lines without sacrificing a single aspect of the monastery and its surrounding beauty. Ferran did an excellent job of explaining the strata layers of sedimentary rock which were as interesting and as beautiful as the monastery itself. We were also given an education on the foliage from the bottom of the mountain to the top. Being picked up and dropped off at our hotel was another plus, we were chauffeured in a very clean and comfortable Nissan van. If you are planning on visiting Barcelona, I would strongly urge you to contact this local tour operator. In addition to Montserrat, they offer a full range of different tours. You will not be disappointed!!

We had a wonderful experience at Montserrat. The views were magnificent and our tour guide was fantastic. Ferran picked us up at the hotel and drove my dear husband, myself and friends to Montserrat. We felt so spiritual when we entered the monastery, it was breathtaking. We were able to listen to the children's choir and they were so angelic. Our guide Ferran was very experienced and knowledgeable, he took us to the top of the mountain and from there we descended and made our way back to the monastery. It was nice to experience the outdoors as well, the views were amazing, even though there was some fog.
