The Park Güell originated in 1900, when Count Eusebi Güell bought a tree-covered hillside (then outside Barcelona) and hired Gaudí to create a miniature city of houses for the wealthy in landscaped grounds. La Sagrada Familia is one of Gaudí's most famous works in Barcelona. It's a giant Basilica that has been under construction since 1882 and it's not expected to be completed for some time yet.

The main architectural feature of the park is based on the art nouveau, this form of art began to spread from Glasgow to Brussels and then to Barcelona recovering former construction techniques such as the Catalan vault (or timbrel vault) and old craft styles, while at the same time taking an interest in the expressive potential of iron.

Our group of four had intructions to meet at the bus station entrance, we arrived there a half hour_br/_ Early. Waited and waited till 15 minutes after the 7:50 designated time. No one showed up, a family_br/_ Of four were waiting as well. They phoned the amigo tours and was told too late can’t join tour. We were at wrong gate, kids of family found tour group and we were allowed to join late. Very stressful!,

Everything Gaudi......very informative. Park Guell epitomized how much Gaudi and his vision were ahead of its time. It made me wonder what else he would have given us had he lived. Each pice of his work tells its own story and leaves you in awe.

This was an amazing tour of Antoni Guadi's masterpieces. I'm so glad we booked this tour instead of trying to tour the park and the Basilica on our own. Our tour guide, Sarah, grew up in Barcelona and was a fountain of information about the park, La Sagrada Familia, Antoni Guadi, and Barcelona. We learned so much more than if we had tried to read a tour book or even listen to an audio tour.

A must see tour. Unlike any cathedral we have ever seen. Sculpturally speaking, beautiful on outside and inside. Built for the poor who could not read. Downside, mixed language tours take away from each stop’s full meaning

Jordi was a great guide and really conveyed the uniqueness that is Gaudi. The tour started early was still dark out but I can understand why. The park gets really busy by the end of the tour. He was such a great guide that there were other people in the park trying to follow our group and listen in. The Sagrada Familia was really a sight to be seen. Simply remarkable!

A great tour with a well-informed tour guide - my taxi dropped me at the wrong place and I was late but my tour guide had waited for me. The park was ok. The cathedral was so amazing. The only disappointment was our guide. Not good.. If you are in Barcelona, you must visit Gaudis La Familia Sagrada!

Our tour was fabulous! We were in Barcelona just before the clocks turned back from daylight savings, so it was almost pitch dark when we arrived at Parc Guell, and we had the amazing view of the sunrise over the park. Our tour guide was very knowledeable and offered so many insights we never would have known if we had not taken the tour. The tour was conducted in English and Spanish, but it did not create 'lag' time while the translations were going on - we simply used the time in Spanish to take pictures. Park Guell is like nowhere else I have visited. Sagrada Familia was breathtaking, and rivals the great cathedrals of Europe in my opinion. We took only the am portion of the tour Parc Guell and Sagrada Familia after the tour we were on our own to further the explore the basilica on our own. It helped that it was a spectacular day - sunny, clear and comfortable temperatures. There is quite a bit of walking at the park so wear comfortable shoes and enjoy!!

Our guide Jordi made this experience. He was passionate, knowledgeable and so very smart. We cant say enough about him and Gaudis projects were simply amazing. A must see with a guide and hopefully you will get Jordi for the full experience.

I was very pleased with this day tour. I learned so much and was easily able to fully experience these must-see sites. There is no waiting in long lines which you would otherwise have needed to do. If you care about seeing these sites, this tour is the way to go about seeing them!

The tour plan and the guide were excellent. The information given was very helpful and to the point. Unfortunately on our particular day, due to circumstances not under control of the guide, the tour logistics were a mess. People went to the wrong meeting point forcing a delay and a repetition of the opening information, temporary separation of the group, and high frustration levels resulting in 2 people leaving the tour. During the transfer there were too many people for the bus forcing the guide and 2 others to take a taxi and leaving the rest of us taking a circuitous sightseeing loop with no guide to explain what we were seeing. All of our previous experiences with Viator tours have been without these complications and were satisfactory in every way. It would appear this day the logistics got badly off course which I assume is the exception.

Glad I took this tour. Gaudi's buildings were amazing. What vision he had to plan and build these structures. His buildings are a MUST TO SEE. The tour guide was not that good. It was an English and Spanish speaking group and 1 couple did not speak any English. Due to this it took longer to see everything.

I have taken a lot of tours in my travels but this tour was the worst,not because of what we were seeing but the guides._br/_ I had requested a English speaking tour.This was a English and mexican speaking tour.Our guide would tell us about what we were seeing then we waited while he repeated every thing in Mexican.We ran out of time and could not do all the things we should have been able to do.Wish we had done this tour on our own.I spoke to the guide about it and he said the guidesyour had no choice it was under the company's control.There were two guides.Why couldn't one guide take the Mexican speaking group and the other guide take the English speaking group? We thought we will never take one of your tours again then you redeemed yourself the next day on our Gotic walking tour.It certainly was a five star tour.

This tour was NOT up to expectations. The Parc Guell portion of the trip lasted 1/2 hour. IT WAS NOT WORTH THE EFFORT OF THE TRIP TO THE MEETING PLACE. The Sagrada Familias part of the tour was merely adequate. I have many more complaints but you have not provided enough space to voice them.

This was a good tour that took us to the Park and Sagrada Familia - both musts for all who appreciate the work of Gaudi. The Park was wonderful and the church is beyond words. Our guide was the only downside. She didnt seem to want to be with us and several times ignored questions from people in our group. She was better at the church although I knew more about some of the images and symbols than she did. I would score this at three stars except that the sites were truly exceptional and not to be missed.

An excellent tour booked through Viator. We learnt so much more than if we had gone by ourselves._br/_ It was a little confusing trying to find the start of the tour at Park Gruell, so would recommend giving yourself plenty of time, and a good map.

We had problems with the tour to start with which was not the tour directors fault. We had to meet at Park Gruel early in the morning and directions were not clear. We had trouble meeting the group as meeting point was not easy to find. Group too big and there was not enough information about Park Gruell._br/_ Loved Sagrada Familia tour dont think it would have mattered who the guide was the magnificence of the place is amazing. The tour director was difficult to understand.

Tour begins at Guell Park quite early in the day. An expensive cab ride or a very early bus! Park is amazing and our guide very knowledgeable but all too brief. Bus to Sagrada Familia and we skipped the queue but this tended to drag on a bit. I would have preferred a central meeting point and a bus ride to both attractions.

The Park Guell tour was excellent. The tour guide was knowledgeable and the white board helped explain his points. It was easy to understand him. The Sagrada Familia tour was late in the day and it was difficult to understand the tour guide. But overall, it was an excellent experience

The guide was great and knew his history! We definitely appreciated that! Both locations we visited were great! Getting to Park Guell early in the morning is beneficial. We finished Sagrada Familia right at lunch time, which was perfect cause that gave us the rest of the day to tour other places on our own.

Tour at Park Guell was not long enough. It said small group, however there were 52 people they put together. Only gave us about an hour and 15 minutes to enjoy before departing for La Sangrada Familia.

We saw everything we wanted to see in Barcelona in one amazing full day with a small group of fellow travellers. The tour guide was very articulate, knowledgable, and even talked about the history of Spain showing us maps throughout the centuries of various regions. He recommended three very good restaurants for lunch and in the afternoon we visited Parc Guell.

What a day! We accidentally got dropped off in front of the park, so we had to hike up to the meeting point but it was a lovely walk. David was our guide. He was very knowledgeable about the park and was very patient with the group. On to Sagrada, we had a little time to stop into a cafe for a quick cup and then on to the church. Being with the tour we got to use a separate entrance, and skip the line! The whole price is worth just that. Once inside of Sagrada I was overcome with emotion. It truly is a work of art for the ages, a masterpiece. I hope to go back again when it's finished. We really loved this tour and our guide.

I cannot say enough good things about this tour! Our guide, Josep, was fantastic! He had so much information to share with us about both Park Guell and Sagrada Familia. Fascinating information, you would never otherwise get from visiting both places on your own. We took a taxi up to Park Guell, as we were worried about the bus timing, but we realized there had been plenty of time for the bus. The company running the tour provided a really nice bus to get us from Park Guell to Sagrada Familia. I would even do this tour a second time if and when we make it back to Barcelona. This tour is definitely a must if you are in Barcelona. You won't regret it!

Great tour - great tour guide! We started out at Park Guell and it was cold heck, what should we expect? It was January and the sun wasn't even up yet but it warmed up once the sun came out. Park Guell was amazing and it was nice that we went so early - almost no other tourists. We then went to Sagrada Familia church and the guide spent so much time with us, explaining everything and answering any questions. Amazing church. Both Park Guell and Sagrada Familia are must sees if you're in Barcelona! We had only signed up for the Park Guell and Sagrada Familia tour but the tour guide said that two in our group were going on to a longer tour which would include more Barcelona highlights and he said anyone could join for an additional cost. Me and my two traveling buddies decided to pay and keep going to see more of the city and we're so glad we did! We were in a group of only five, plus the guide. We found out so much about Barcelona! Our tour guide was just fantastic Francis or maybe Francisco? HIGHLY recommend this tour but be careful when you tour Barcelona - in January the crowds are very low but I hear there are mega crowds in the summer! Glad we did the January tour, even if it was a little cold.

David, with Amigo Tours via Viator, hosted me for a half-day visit to Park Guell and Sagrada Familia Basilica both skip-the-line tours. The park was very interesting, and David was a font of knowledge about its historical, architectural and artistic merits. We then took a mini-bus to Sagrada Familia, where David wowed us with an extended tour both inside and out. I was a little ambivalent to Gaudi before arriving in Barcelona, as Id already been in Europe for 3 weeks and was feeling a little cathedraled out. How glad I am that I made the effort to get up early for this tour. Oh, wow. I was blown away by the creativity and genius of Gaudi, by his expertise in physics, geometry, art, religion, symbolism and architecture and by his widely new vision for public and private space. _br/_ David was very friendly and accessible. His English was excellent, and he conducted the tour in both English and Spanish, which impressed me. Everybody seemed very happy with his efforts to accommodate us all. David was able to excite my interest in Gaudi so much that I continued on my own to Gaudis Casa Batllol, and then bought a JoidArt ring to complement one of my favourite photos from my 4-week trip, one of the morning light streaming through the eastern blue and green stained glass windows of the basilica._br/_ I highly recommend this tour with Amigo Tours.
