We were met at the airport as expected, however, as we were carrying luggage for a two week trip, the driver had a tough time fitting it into the car. The actual drive into downtown Barcelona was comfortable and quiet. We have used Victor for other European airport transfers and highly recommend this service.

We arrived in Barcelona after several hours flying from the USA. The driver was right at arrivals waiting for us. He drove a black Mercedes with ample leg room and plenty of space for our luggage. He gave us the inside story to the events that were taking place in Barcelona: the push for an Independent Catalonia. He was very gracious when we arrived at our destination. The hotel were were staying in had no signage. It was a common building entrance. He made sure we were at the exact location. We were very happy with his efforts. He told us he would not leave until we were where we were supposed to be. He helped with our heavy luggage. Sometimes we forget how it really is in a foreign country with regards to addresses, hotels, elevators, etc., etc., etc. We were in good hands._br/_ Viator has not failed us. Go Viator!

Our plane was scheduled to arrive at 7:00 pm and we were on time. We searched and searched for our driver with no success. Phoned the company and they said the driver was running late. Finally arrived one hour late. That is not the service I paid for. We booked five things with Viator. After our experience in Florence two years ago and this experience in Barcelona, I would not recommend using Viator. Also if you have a problem while away, try to get a hold of them - good luck!

On check out, you are told to provide when your flight LANDS. So I put our flight lands at 4:45pm. Our flight actually lands at 4:45pm, almost on the dot. We are taken to a shuttle, shuttled to the terminal, go through customs, wait for our baggage, get our baggage and finally exit baggage claim at approximately 6pm. There is nobody waiting to pick us up. I walk around looking at all the different taxi drivers signs and none say my name. We wait for about another 15 minutes and new drivers show up, but none with my name. I call the taxi service, it's now about 6:30pm, and they say the driver was there at 4:45pm and waited for 90 minutes. First, he did not wait 90 minutes, because if he did, we would have seen him. Second, if your plane lands at 4:45pm, we dont just pop out on the runway and the taxi takes us to our hotel. Not sure what they are thinking. It takes time to get baggage, etc. and they knew we had a lot of luggage because I noted it on checkout and they acknowledged we would need a bigger taxi to accommodate the luggage. So, after calling they said the driver had already left and would not be coming back so we are on our own. Great. Anyways, we grabbed a taxi and headed to our hotel. FYI, taxi is only 35 euro to central Barcelona!!! We had 4 people each with checked luggage and carry-ons and a minivan taxi was available to take us all.

Very good service as the plane was late arriving but our driver was still there waiting for us with our name on the sign. Driver was very personable and gave us a good overview of Barcelona on the way to the apartment. The service is pricey about double the cost of a cab, but we had 4 people and extra luggage so for us it was worth not having the hassle of finding a ride from the airport. Another thing in Barcelona there is no Uber or Lyft so it's a cab or the bus. Once you are in the city the Metro is good, but overall the city is very walkable. Wonderful and beautiful city and would go back, they warn of the pick pocketers but if you take normal precautions you likely won't have any issues.

After we get out from the EL Prat Barcelona Airport I saw the driver holding my name showing so we directly go his Mercedes Taxi and he is good speaking English also. Friendly and I have confident because he is honest and helpfull too. It took us 30 minutes to reach my Renaissance Barcelona Hotel because it was raining hard that time and by the time we reach the hotel the rain stop and sun has come out again.

The service was terrific. Our driver was polite, timely and professional. The car was spotless. My understanding is that for a group like mine with only four people, the company would normally only send a sedan. However, I noted in the comments when I booked this transfer that we would need a bigger car due to a large amount of luggage. They sent a van which was perfect and there was no up charge. Note this service will cost you more than just taking a regular taxi which would be about 45 or 50 with tip, from the airport to the middle of La Rambla but we did not mind this because it was so convenient. The voucher says that tip to the driver is included but we did give our driver a few extra euro because we had so many bags.

Driver was waiting at baggage claim with an electronic sign with our name clearly visible. He was neatly dressed in a white shirt with black pants which is what all all Books taxi drivers wear. Was very couterous and took with our luggage to the taxi. Would highly recommend using this service. 64 for private taxi for two was well worth it.

Of course this experience depends on the driver, but ours, a charming young woman whose name I wish I remembered, was delightful: On time, helpful wouldn't even let my husband lift the luggage -- that's service and she kept the music in the car very, very low. We landed on time. Customs took forever. By the time I got out there, the car was gone. Tried to use public phones to no avail. Had to take a cab. What surprised me was I had paid 88 for two to go to our hotel. The cab cost a standard 28 for the same trip for two. I'll just trust the cab next time.
