Private Tour: Barcelona Full-Day Sightseeing Tour
Barcelona, Spain
Discover Barcelona the way you wish on this full-day, customizable private tour with your own private guide. Let your guide know what you want to see and, on the day, follow an itinerary designed around your interests, traveling by air-conditioned vehicle and on foot. Explore the medieval lanes of the Gothic Quarter; stroll along the colorful Las Ramblas; behold Antoni Gaudi’s UNESCO-protected La Sagrada Familia; visit the Picasso Museum and more — it’s up to you how the day unfolds. All admission fees, meals and drinks are at your own expense.
Your day in Barcelona is fully customizable, so you can design an itinerary around your sightseeing tastes. Your private guide will contact you beforehand to discuss the sights you want to see, so logistics and tickets can be planned in advance. All entrance fees, meals and drinks are at your own expense.
On the morning of your tour, meet your guide at your Barcelona hotel and travel to your first stop by air-conditioned vehicle. Hear an introduction to the city’s history and the people that have shaped its personality and fortunes through the centuries.
Perhaps begin at La Sagrada Familia, Barcelona’s unfinished and emblematic cathedral by Antoni Gaudi. Admire its sinuous towers and vaults, and learn how construction began in 1882 but isn’t due to finish until 2026.
Delve further into Gaudi’s work at Park Güell, dotted with his mosaic-adorned sculptures, terraces and houses. Or visit the Passeig de Gracia avenue to see two of his richly ornamented Modernist townhouses: La Pedrera, also known as Casa Milà, and Casa Batlló.
Around midday, maybe ask your guide for tips for places to enjoy lunch (own expense), and after your meal, continue on your sightseeing trail.
Perhaps explore the lovely Gothic Quarter (Barri Gòtic), where the narrow lanes open to 14th-century Barcelona Cathedral (Catedral La Seu), palm-shaded squares and Roman relics. Or stroll down the tree-lined Las Ramblas past bustling cafes, stalls and street artists.
Alternatively, visit the Picasso Museum, home to over 4,000 of his works, or discover the cool neighborhoods of El Born or El Raval, with their trendy shops and galleries.
Perhaps finish at Montjuic Hill, site of many of Barcelona’s 1992 Olympic arenas. Take in the stadiums and sweeping city views from here — the perfect finale to your day.
Your private tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel.
Driver was on time with name sign. Vehicle in excellent condition

Our Guide did not seem to know that both Park Guell and The Sagrada Familia can be sold out days before the tour time. We were told in the morning what we would get to see but then there seemed to be a lot of driving around seeing sites that had not been on our list so we ran out of time without seeing two of the top five sites we were interested in and we could not get in Park Guell..All tickets had to be purchased by our guide using our money and there was a lot of stand around time. Our guide and driver were nice but overall this tour was not worth the money.

Our guide Sonia and driver Jordi were outstanding. We were able to experience virtually all of Barcelona by a great mix of walking tours and riding. We experienced and saw so much of Barcelona in this one day that there was only a small amount of sightseeing we needed to see the next day.

Outstanding day spent with Babbita and our driver Christian. Cannot recommend this trip highly enough. Myself and my wife enjoyed it immensely. We felt like royalty! Barcelona is stunning and this has to be one of the best ways to see it. Thanks again to our hosts!!

What a day with Susanna! She was delightful, very bright and has an enormous depth of knowledge on all subjects. Very good driver who took us to all the places we wanted to see and that she suggested, a very good team. Susanna has a wonderful sense of humor and sensibility which added greatly to our all day tour. She joined us for lunch and introduced us to 'pinchos', which we loved. It was obvious that she is very proud of Barcelona and her heritage.

The all day private tour of Barcelona was exceptional. Our guide, Sandra, was the best. There were six of us and she tailored the tour perfectly to suit our interests when we explained at the beginning of the day what it was we wanted to see and do. The sights were phenominal and her knowledge was extensive.

Guide was great and very knowledgeable about what we saw and where she took us as we wanted an overview of the city and the must see things. I think for those who have a more specific wish list they would be satisfied also.

Great tour! Our guide and driver were very professional, friendly and on time. The car was comfortable and clean. Our guide did a very nice job taking us to the sights and giving us interesting tidbits on history. We will definitely use Viator again!

Taking a personal guided tour is the best way to see Barcelona. After taking multiple trips where we were on busses with sometimes 60+ other travelers, listening to commentary in sometimes 6 different languages, it was a nice change to have a tour guide who worked exclusively with us. Our guide made great suggestions on places to go based on where we hadn't been yet. It was a great experience and a good way to end our European Vacation.

This was a brilliant day! Sonia was one of the best guides I have ever met. I saw and learned so much about the history of Barcelona as well as Catalonia in general. And she was more than happy to vary the itinerary so that I could visit the wonderful Roman ruins in the museum.
