After skipping the line, set off to explore Barcelona’s attention-grabbing church on a comprehensive walking tour.
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, La Sagrada Familia is consecrated and was proclaimed a minor basilica by Pope Benedict XVI. Learn all about its fascinating history from your guide, and hear how Gaudi designed the church’s interior as a Latin cross complete with five aisles. Gaze in admiration at the opulent ornamentation and walk underneath vaults that measure some 230-feet (70-meters) high.
Before leaving the church, visit La Sagrada Familia Museum to see drawings, plaster models and pictures about the development of the cathedral since the late 1880s. La Sagrada Familia remains famously unfinished, and the museum also documents information about the construction that is currently underway. The anticipated completion date of the building is 2026, the centennial of Gaudi’s death.
Your tour finishes inside the museum, but you can stay inside for longer, if you wish, to browse the exhibits at your own pace.
The Cathedral was beyond all expectations. Unbelievably beautiful! Our tour guide Rosa has a soft voice, speaks too fast, and drops her voice at the end of each sentence. I couldn't get half of what she said. It's too bad because it seemed like she had a lot if good info and was trying to be witty and funny. Would have loved to understand her.

I would give the church a five star but the tour about a three star. The church is a masterpiece in design and structure. They started building it in the early 1800's and it will not be completed until about 2026. The tour itself was fast paced. The tour guide was difficult to understand at times because of his accent, yet he was very knowledgeable regarding the history and construction of the church. The guide held a folded piece of paper in the air so you can notice him. This in my opinion was not enough as he moved fast through the crowds of people. I did like the fact that the guide obtained the tickets for us and escorted us into the entrance area which saved time.

The ear pieces were poor quality plus the guide spoke so fast in English that it was very hard to understand what she was saying. We finally gave up and finished tour on our own

The tour was good. Sagrada Familia is unbelievable to say the least. Just note that finding Julia Travel, who operates the tour, was difficult to find. You may want to call for the exact location because what was coming up for us in Maps was their main office and a shutdown office behind the park that sits in front of Sagrada Familia. Ask one of the people in front of the place.

Line bypass was great - that's all. Our tour guide had a strong accent so it was difficult to understand what she was saying, especially outside where I could not hear her at all due to our large group size and the noise of the other visitors and vehicles on the road. Inside, our guide seemed to go through the motions and fly through the tour.

This was completely beyond our expectations, in spite of multiple tour groups and buses. We were staying by Sagrada Familia so it was a quick walk for us and we walked by it many times. Our view from the apartment was a side view of the cathedral and I'd say we were never tired of seeing it. We went with Julia Travel, their tour guide was very knowledgeable and made sure everyone stayed together,understood her explanations and did not bombard us with a lot of conversation. It was perfectly planned. The structure is breathtaking. Gaudi was a genius and so progressive for his time. We had a bit of our own time to take in Sagrada Familia and all its splendor, which I have to say was one of the best parts of the tour._br/_ I can't wait to return to a completed Sagrada Familia.

Only way to see this wonderful site. Our guide bypassed lines and we were given individual headsets He had a microphone and we were able to hear all of his very detailed information with no issues. Only way to tour this is with a guide.

This tour and attraction was by far my most favorite of all in Barcelona. This Church took my breath away and brought tears to my eyes. it is beyond beautiful and there is just so much to see in the place. It is a true testament to architecture. The anticipated date of completion is in 2026 and I intend to be there to see it all done. An absolute MUST see place. The tour and skip the line was a blessing. The place can get packed and it was nice to be able to get in and get around. Our tour guide, sorry I forget her name, did a great job.

I would absolutely recommend you book this tour. Access sells out if you do not book in advance and the line to even get in can be hours long. Not only did we not wait, we had a very knowledgeable guide that was able to answer questions throughout our tour.

Excellent experience. The tour starts at Julia Travel Office: Carrer de Sardenya, 311 08025 Barcelona. Fortunately the person at the Information Booth in the Park was able to point us in the right direction to find the office. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. His love and respect for Francisco de Paula Del Villar, Antoni Gaudi, the Architects who followed and developed his vision and the artisans, engineers and construction crews who have made this vision into a reality was evident. Others on our cruise were disappointed to find that all tickets were sold for the day when they arrived at the Sagrada Familia ticket office. Be sure to book ahead.

We got to the Sagrada Familia early but could not find Julia Travel. We asked several people for directions and finally I called to let them know we were coming and if they could provide directions. They were no help in the direction, but I wanted them to know we were coming._br/_ We finally found it just as the rest of the tour was leaving I tried to talk with the tour manager but she just told me to go inside and talk to the people inside. They changed my ticket and said follow the group. Only when I got outside they were gone and we could not find them. My next move was to find the group entrance to the church and wait there. We did join the group after about 25 min.

Our tour guide was very good and gave a thorough tour both outside and inside Sagrada Familia. She gave lots of info about the history and building of the cathedral and also the meaning behind many of the features. My only complaint was that the group was quite large but the headphones did help. I would recommend using a guide to get in easier and to get the most from your visit to this amazing place.

This was a fabulous tour well worth doing, gave you a great history of Sagrada and insight into Gaudi and subsequent architects who have carried on his work. The outside is amazing and the guides were fabulous in pointing out the story of history it tells. The inside is amazing , no other words just amazing , photos cannot do it justice. If you do this tour you will not be disappointed! _br/_ One tip, you meet up at a tour office across the park from LaSagrada , it's pretty busy there so allow plenty of time to find it and get into your group.. Great way to see the Sagrada Familia. We met at a travel office across the street and had a headset so we could hear the guide. The guide was very knowledgeable and thorough and made the visit exceptionally interesting. And, no lines. Im sure we could have spent more time there but we were on a bit of a tight schedule and Im so glad we were able to see so many highlights on this tour!

Simply put this was amazing. Our guide was very informative and pointed out quite a lot of interesting things about the structure that I would not have been aware of without a guide. I think that you would miss a lot of the facts of this amazing church if you did not take a tour. Very enjoyable tour and a must on any visit to Barcelona.

I would HIGHLY recommend this. I am not one typically to do guided tours on places like this but we would have missed out on so much if we had attempted to do this on our own. Our guide pointed out so many incredible features of Sagrada Familia that I will always remember. This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. You must visit this place and do a tour. You wont regret it!

I would definitely recommend this tour as a MUST! Our tour guide Marta gave us excellent information, which we would otherwise have spent time gathering. We were able to stay in Segrada Família after the tour and appreciate more fully the experience. We also recommend a visit to the museum free to put the growth of Segrada Família from its earliest beginnings into perspective, to see the artists working on the models which will complete the project and to experience the tenacity of the people fulfilling Gaudís dream. Excellent tour guide and tour. Provided highlights and some good background information, plus a look into the future. Be sure to meet at the travel office just across the main entrance to Sagrada Familia meeting location not as clear as it could have been on the travel voucher - and as it has been on other Viator travel vouchers. Tower tour not included, so be sure to purchase that option or those tickets if you are interested in climbing the towers. Would highly recommend this tour, particularly because of the skip the line option.
