Stop here for views over Plaza de España and its ‘magic fountains’ before driving across the modernist Eixample District, the area of Gracia, and uphill to Park Güell, a fantastic example of Gaudi’s genius.

Returning to the old city, embark on a walking tour through the Gothic Quarter. Admire the Roman walls, towers, and ruins of the temple, the Gothic Cathedral, the medieval Jewish district, and many other monuments, squares, and landmarks full of history.

Then you’re back on the road with a scenic drive along the boardwalk and back through the Olympic Village en route to La Sagrada Familia, Gaudi’s unfinished masterpiece. You’re introduced to the complex symbolism and astonishing geniality of this innovative architecture that is sure to leave you captivated.

After visiting the Basilica, continue by coach to the elegant boulevard of Passeig de Grácia and admire the curved Casa Mila (aka La Pedrera). Take a short walk down the street, until reaching a group of three modernist constructions called Manzana de la Discordia, translated as Apple of Discord.
