Small-Group Barcelona Sailing Trip

Barcelona, Spain

Become a sailor for a few hours and enjoy the unique skyline of Barcelona from the water! On this small-group sailing trip, discover Barcelona landmarks like Maremagnum, Port Olimpic and the Barceloneta Beach from a different perspective. Cruise on the Mediterranean waters on board a modern sailing boat for an unforgettable experience! No experience necessary; the skipper will adjust to the group's level. This small-group tour is limited to seven people, ensuring you’ll receive personalized attention from your guide.

Discover the beauty of Barcelona from the water on this 3-hour, small-group sailing trip on the Mediterranean Sea. Meet your local skipper in the Port Olimpic and walk to your boat. After a safety briefing and introduction to sailing, get ready to leave the Barcelona harbor! Whether you are an expert or a novice, the skipper will adjust to your group’s level of experience, ensuring you’ll have a safe, fun and enjoyable experience on a sporty J80 or J105 sailing boat.

Lend a hand in hoisting the sails as your professional skipper instructs you, and admire views of the Mediterranean Sea as you cruise out of the port. Sail past the luxury yachts docked in the harbor and see the Maremagnum shopping center before sitting back and taking in the stunning Barcelona skyline. Cruise south toward Port Vell and admire the popular Barceloneta Beach, the main beach in Barcelona and Port Forum.

If you’d like to participate, take charge of different tasks and learn different aspects of sailing from your skipper as you sail back to the Port Olimpic. During your sailing trip, your skipper will point out great photo opportunities and share interesting stories about the sites and landmarks you pass along the coast of Barcelona, ensuring you have a great day out on the water!

Note that the sailing itinerary is subject to change depending on the wind conditions.

This was a beautiful 3 hours along the coast of Barcelona. They were so accommodating to help get my elderly father into the sail boat, worked perfectly! The weather was beautiful and we loved the views.

That tour was great. However, in your important remarks it said to wear white sole shoes and no sandals. So we went to buy shoes for the sailing tour. We realized on the boat that it was not necessary and Americans with us wore black shoes and sandals! Otherwise, everything was perfect.

A very pleasant and enjoyable cruise. The captain allowed us to get involved in raising the sails and directing the vessel. Excellent views of Barcelona from the sea and time well spent.

We had so much fun! This is a very hands on sail, with plenty of opportunity to "man the helm". My Dad, a seasoned sailor, was in seventh heaven. The views of Barcelona were awesome. After ending the sail we ate the most delicious baby calamari at one of the waterside resteraunts at the marina.

The sailing trip was great! 3 hours in a boat with a professional sailing team, wind and sun, beautiful city views, sea and a friendly captain! He tried to keep us involved in the process, so we enjoyed the trip a lot._br/_ However, I would not recommend the sailing trip to those who have seasickness.

Beautiful experience however our guide did not have very good English skills which made communication a bit difficult. Especially in a small group where u want that conversation to flow.

This was a great, unique experience in Barcelona that I will never forget. I would suggest that this tour is better for people with a little bit of sailing experience, as our group of novices was definitely not prepared for the adventure we had on this tour. Our guide was great though, patient and enjoyable to talk to. He taught us the ropes, and showed us some sights while we sailed around the harbor (the open water was too choppy and windy!). I'd definitely suggest if you're interested or know sailing, and want to see Barcelona from a very different way!

this was a very fun experience that was a great thing to do in Barcelona that no one would have thought of. i was a little worried about booking through Viator overseas but had no problems with the reservation at all. my husband and i booked to go on a sunset cruise but it was overcast and rainy the day we booked so the wife of the tour company met us to reschedule us for the next day. she was so sweet and nice! we went the next day with 4 other girls and were not quite prepared for the weather that ensued. the morning started off very pretty but the wind picked up and it was strong! i wish the waters and wind was calmer for more of a relaxing and calm sail but the tour company can't be blamed for that. as it was a windy day and no one in the boat had any experience sailing except for the tour guide...the girls (including myselft) seemed a little nervous being out at sea with the boat swaying from one side to the other. since we had never sailed before...i don't think any of us knew what to expect. we ended up going out to sea very fast and coming back quickly into the harbor to practice sailing and learn how to do it ourselves. in retro spect...we should have done that 1st then tried to go out to sea but i don't think the guide realized how strong the winds were and how little we knew of sailing. the last hour we puttered around the bay and were treated to a bottle of suprise cava for my husbands birthday and Barcelona yacht t-shirt which was so sweet of the company to do! our guide was very knowledgeable of the city and sailing. this was definitly an adventure trip if you want to learn 1st hand how to sail. don't sign up for this if you are expecting a stable booz cruise experience. I give 1 star to the weather and 4 stars to the company!

My friend and I went on this sailing trip to do something different, and we had an amazing time! The sea was calm so we got to sail quite far, which gave us a great opportunity to admire the Barcelona skyline from the sea. We both got to hoist the sails which was great fun. On the way back the sun was just setting and we got the most amazing sunset over the sea! We will definitely do it again!

Not really to what I have expected. It was a sailing boat rather then a small yatcht. Overall was still as it was complemented with a good weather.

If you are interested in just sailing, it's a nice trip. We would like to have gone somewhere other than just straight out into the sea and back two times.

Great experience. Once in a life time, the guide was friendly and knew a lot about the local area. Would recommend.

This was wonderful experience. Neat to see Barcelona from the water. The staff-member who met us at the Yacht Club was very friendly. They ended up offering a bigger sailboat to us at no extra charge, which was nice. Although they told us that skipper didn't speak English--that was okay with us. We figured it out well enough. He had our teenage boys helping to steer and help with the sails. I was a little nervous booking through Viator and hoping the service provider in Spain would work out--but it went off without a hitch and everyone was well-aware of our trip. We thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend!

I really enjoyed being out on the sea, it was an amazing experience! We were able to see the shore and see the main highlights of Barcelona coastline, which looked great from the sea. It was only four of us plus the skipper on the boat, which was great as we could enjoy the peace and quiet of the sea, and gave me an incredible feeling of freedom, just what I needed! The skipper was really nice and showed us the basics of sailing as well, and we could all try steering the boat and tried our sailor's skills! I am already looking forward to go sailing again on my next trip.

I had an amazing time with this 8 meters boat and with ONLY 4 people on it, our skipper was very good and very expert; I would like to repeat it as soon as possible because this tour allows you to see Barcelona from another point of view, so far from the city noise and so magic. We saw the sunset and the experience was awesome (by the way, next time I will try the romantic tour...). It helps to make your trip an unique experience in Barcelona!!! Thanks a lot!!!
