Tapas Cooking Experience in Barcelona

This is a hands-on tapas cooking class. The activity will take place in a private cooking space in the popular Barcelona neighborhood of Gracia. You will learn information about tapas and Spanish food. Learn how to prepare 6 different types of traditional tapas, and once they are ready, you will enjoy in a delicious meal paired with a bottle of Spanish wine.

The tour assembles at a cooking space in central Garcia. This is a very popular neighborhood in Barcelona, and it is very well connected and near Passeig de Gràcia where many famous Gaudi buildings are. The chef and the ingredients will be waiting for you to prepare 6 different types of traditional "tapas" or "pinchos." Sample dishes include the typical catalán "pan con tomate" (bread with tomato), "montadito" of manchego cheese with homemade Tomato Marmelade, sausage with caramelized onion, or King prawns cooked in salt.

Through this 2-hour activity, learn about the history of tapas and soak up interesting information about Spanish food. The chef will teach a lesson on preparing and cooking the recipe. Once tapas are ready, enjoy them paired with a bottle of Spanish wine. After the activity, take a tour of Garcia on your own, and let your guide know so they can give you recommendations.
