Venture away from the city of Basseterre and explore St. Kitts countryside in our open-air safari truck. Enjoy complimentary beverages on board, visit a 16th-century sugar plantation, walk around the plantation as you learn the history that took place back in the days. Next, you will make a stop at the Caribelle Batik factory and gift shop, there will be a separate entrance fee (3 dollars). Then you'll get a chance to go to the top of Timothy Hill and enjoy the views of the Atlantic and Caribbean Ocean. A nice relaxing visit to the beach will follow. Hotel and port pickup and drop-off is included.
This 2-hour tour takes you through the city of Basseterre to the countryside in your choice of an open-air safari truck. Complimentary drinks will be served on board as you journey through the lower end of the rain forest, taking in the stunning mountain views and natural beauty of the island.
The first stop will be at a 16th-century sugar plantation. Your local guide will take you through the estate and grounds, sharing the history of the sugar cane industry in St. Kitts.
The next stop is the Caribelle Batik factory and gift shop, where you will have approximately 20 minutes to enjoy the lush tropical garden and a do bit of shopping.
Following Caribelle Batik, you’ll head to the south side of the island for a scenic drive to the top of Timothy Hill. From this vantage point you can see where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea. There will be time for picture taking before you’re led to a local beach.
At the beach you will be greeted by staff and have the choice of renting beach chairs and umbrellas (additional cost). Swim and relax on the shore until your guide comes to take you back to your Basseterre hotel.
