Full-Day American Battlefields and Sites of Normandy Tour from Bayeux

This 8.5-hour guided tour will cover a large area, stopping to visit all major sites in the U.S sector. Discover the extraordinary actions of the paratroopers in Ste Mère-Eglise and the Airborne Museum. Travel to Utah beach, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and the American cemetery. Complete with on-site commentary from your English and French-speaking professional guide whom will share with you their extended knowledge of the highlights that you have always dreamed of visiting.

Be picked up in mid-morning from the Bayeux railway station, or Bayeux's Place de Québec, and head out to Utah beach where landed the U.S 4th Division, with Ste Mère-Eglise and the Airborne Museum along the way. During the day your guide will discuss a lot of subjects about the war, from the German occupation to the French Resistance, and speak about so many different soldiers’ war stories.

Visit Pointe du Hoc, a German battery attacked by the U.S Rangers. Your guide will put you right in the atmosphere along the beach, the cliff, the bunkers, the bomb craters, as well as make a stop at what is known as 'Bloody Omaha'. At four miles long, no picture or movie has yet done the beach justice. After the group will make a lunch stop for approximately 1 hour (at own expense)

A second stop for Omaha is the heart-breaking U.S cemetery, for yet another perspective of the beach from the high ground. Your guide will give you time on your own at the end, to either stay longer in the cemetery or save time for the Visitor Center before returning you to the railway station or Place de Québec in Bayeux at approximately 6pm.
