Day 1: Beijing Upon your arrival today, your guide will meet you at Beijing Airport and then transfer you to the hotel. Relax during the rest of the day.
Overnight: Novotel Beijing Xin Qiao (4 star)
Day 2: Beijing (B+L) Visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City this morning. An a la carte lunch is served to taste the real Chinese food.
In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Heaven. The evening will be highlighted by a lovely Chinese Kung Fu Show.
Overnight: Novotel Beijing Xin Qiao (4 star)
Day 3: Beijing (B) Visit the Badaling Great Wall and a jade factory in the morning.
Lunch is on your own arrangement. It may be the best that you have a big breakfast at the hotel and a light lunch, saving more time to focus on the Great Wall. Visit the Sacred Way. The whole day's sightseeing will come to an end after seeing the appearance of Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) on the way to the urban area.
Overnight: Novotel Beijing Xin Qiao (4 star)
Day 4: Beijing - Xi'an (B+L) Visit the Summer Palace and a pearl store. Have an a la carte lunch at a fancy restaurant. In the afternoon, following your guide to trace the old Beijing culture by walking through the original Hutong alleys. Take a flight to Xi'an and check in at the hotel.
Overnight: Sheraton Hotel Xi'an (5 star)
Day 5: Xi'an (B+L+D) Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum and a pottery-making factory. After a special home cooked lunch with a local family, you will visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. A splendid evening is in store when you will be entertained by the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show and enjoy a dumpling dinner. (Tips: the dance show is available from Apr. to Nov.)
Overnight: Sheraton Hotel Xi'an (5 star)
Day 6: Xi'an - Shanghai (B+L) Visit the ancient City Wall and Shaanxi History Museum. An a la carte lunch is served at a well-known local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will take a flight to Shanghai and check in at the hotel.
Overnight: Pullman Shanghai Jing An (4 star)
Day 7: Shanghai (B+L) Visit Shanghai Museum, the Yuyuan Garden and a silk shop. An a la carte farewell lunch will be served at a popular local restaurant. After lunch, visit the Bund, Nanjing Road and an ancient cultural street, Tianzifang. Upon returning to the hotel your guide will see you into the lobby to say bon voyage.
Overnight: Pullman Shanghai Jing An (4 star)
Day 8: Shanghai (B) Airport drop-off is not included today. Please find your own way to the airport according to your flight schedule.

My family and I had a wonderfull time. Your guides, Candy Beijing and Tracy Xian, were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. One of my daughters became sick and needed to go the the hospital. Candy steered us to a Hospital with an English speaking doctor. This put our minds at ease and made us feel that we could trust viatour and their employees. One of the greatest 8 days of my life! It was a pleasure to discover China's rich culture, observe the locals, and learn about the historical places. I was sad to see it end. The hustle and bustle of Beijing was exhilarating. Walking through the Forbidden City and Tienanmen Square was surreal, and climbing the Great Wall was truly one of my life's greatest pleasures. The Summer Palace was also a great hit, and warriors of Xi'an were just beyond amazing! Shanghai was great too albeit my least favorite stop.
