9-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing - Xi'an - Chengdu

An ideal holiday package to get the most from your China trip to the iconic cities of Beijing and Xi'an, as well as Chengdu, the hometown of lovely giant pandas. The tour takes 9 days to cover the best travel destinations including the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Terracotta Warriors and the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

Day 1: Beijing
Upon your arrival, your guide will meet you at Beijing Airport and then transfer you to the hotel. Relax during the rest of the day.

Day 2: Beijing (B+L)
Visit Tian'anmen Square and Forbidden City this morning. An a la carte lunch is served to taste the real Chinese food. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Heaven. The evening will be highlighted by a lovely Chinese Kung Fu Show.

Day 3: Beijing (B)
Visit the Badaling Great Wall and a jade factory in the morning. Lunch is on your own arrangement. Then visit the Sacred Way. The whole day's sightseeing will come to an end after seeing the appearance of Bird's Nest on the way to the urban area.

Overnight Accommodations in Beijing: Novotel Beijing Xin Qiao (4-star)

Day 4: Beijing - Xi'an (B+L)
Visit the Summer Palace and a pearl store. An a la carte lunch will be served at a fancy restaurant. In the afternoon, following your guide to trace the old Beijing culture by walking through the original Hutong alleys. Take a flight to Xi'an and check in at the hotel.

Day 5: Xi'an (B+L+D)
Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum and a pottery-making factory.

After a special home cooked lunch at a local family, you will visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. A splendid evening is in store when you will be entertained by the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show when partaking of the famous dumpling dinner. (Tips: The show is available from Apr to Nov.)

Day 6: Xi'an (B+L)
Visit the City Wall and the Provincial History Museum in the morning.

After an a la carte lunch, visit the Great Mosque and wander around the Muslim market.

Overnight Accommodations in Xi'an : Sheraton Hotel Xi'an (5-star)

Day 7: Xi'an - Chengdu (B)
You will be transferred to the airport to take a morning flight to Chengdu. Your guide will meet you and help you check in at the hotel. Lunch is on your own. Free time in the afternoon.

Day 8: Chengdu (B)
Visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in the morning.
Lunch is arranged on your own. After that, visit Jinsha Site Museum. Then explore the Broad and Narrow Alleys of Chengdu.

Overnight Accommodations in Chengdu: Holiday Inn Chengdu Oriental Plaza (4-star)

Day 9: Departure from Chengdu (B)
Airport drop-off is not included today. Please check out of the hotel and catch your flight by yourself.
