Ancient Beijing Beijing Hutong Lama Temple Jingshan Park and Olympic Stadium by bus

Enjoy a full day tour where you will see the ancient side of Beijing as well as its new Olympic sites. Sit on a rickshaw and explore the hutongs to experience the real life of the locals. Climb up to the Jingshan park to have a bird’s view of the center of Beijing. Finally, see the lovely pandas at the zoo and visit the Lama Temple.

Your English-speaking guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby between 7am and 8:30am. The first stop of the tour is the Beijing Zoo where you can see the lovely giant pandas. You have about 40 minutes to enjoy at the panda zoo, ensuring you have plenty of time to take pictures.

The next stop is the Olympic Stadium, also known as the Bird’s Nest. During this 45 minute visit, you can walk around and also check out the Water Cube, where the water sports took place during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. If you are interested in the inner structure of the stadiums, the tour guide will assist you in buying the tickets (at your own expense).

Following the Olympic area, you will visit the Lama Temple, a mysterious Tibetan-style Buddhist temple. Then you will enjoy a traditional Chinese cuisine lunch with locals in a local-style Beijing house. Once you finish your meal, you will take a rickshaw and ride the old Beijing lanes - called hutongs - for a pleasant experience to discover ancient Beijing.

Then you will drive to the Jingshan park, a former imperial garden in the north of the Forbidden City. From this hill you can have a wonderful view of Beijing. Finally, you will visit a silk shop where you can do some shopping - a great opportunity to get gifts for your relatives back home. When the tour concludes, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

I had 2 days open in Beijing and didn't know what to do and where to start. Booked this and glad that I got to check out all the main attractions in 1 day. Thinking about booking a different bus tour the next business trip.

Amazing and complete tour! I specially loved watching the fluffy pandas at the zoo and the giant wooden Buddha at the Lama temple. The views of the Forbidden City from the park hill were spectacular and the rickshaw ride quite an experience. Such a great day!

The best of Beijing objectives. The Hutong rides and lunch were below expectations, the old Beijing was not kept old and rustic.

The tour was great, however because of the location of our hotel we had to be picked up super early AND still pick up other people. Tipping of rickshaws at the Hutong became an issue as we tipped our driver what we tipped a different driver a few days earlier. Our tour guide had another guide show us around the Hutong and i guess the extra tip they were moaning about was for the other guide._br/_ Other than that, great experience!!

This was a good tour. I would recommend to a person who has seen all of the main attractions and is looking to see something different towards the end of their stay in Beijing. The Lama Temple is magnificent with a calm atmosphere, my favorite temple in Beijing! The Hutong tour is good and very unique allowing for dinner in a locals house which is nice. Jingshan park is also very nice.

This tour was wonderful - the value for money was incredible. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. Our guide was Jackson, who spoke English and is very happy and pleasant to spend a day with. The bus was cool and comfortable. The best part was lunch in the house in the Hutong - it was very authentic and delicious. I would recommend doing this tour towards the end of your time in Beijing - the view from Jingshan Park is spectacular, and even more so if you recognize the places you are looking at. This is a definite must!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our day trip - guide was nice and friendly, also spoke very good English! There were only 4 people in our group which was fantastic - only a few drop offs and could see what we wanted to see. Seeing the Pandas was the best part of the day - so cute! quite gutted we couldn't see the rest of the zoo._br/_ The only weaknesses of this tour is that we were only allowed to take pictures outside of the stadium - we weren't given a tour around. Also we were taken to a Tea House which wasn't on the tour description - where I don't like different flavored tea and the employees were hassling us to buy something/more all the time. The visit shouldn't have been included as it was a waste of time and money._br/_ Other than that we had an enjoyable day out
