Badaling Great Wall and Ming Tombs Day Tour from Beijing

On this guided day trip from Beijing, you will see China’s symbol: the Great Wall and Ming Tombs. The Ming Tombs are the best preserved Ming Dynasty imperial burial sites in China. Listen to your local tour guide’s expert commentary and get to know about the history and stories behind the sites.
At around 7:30 am, your English-speaking guide will pick you up from your hotel in Beijing to start the tour.
The first spot is the Ming Tombs, where 14 of 16 emperors of the Ming Dynasty about 500 years ago were buried. You will visit the Changling Tomb, the head and the largest of the excavated burial site at Ming Tombs.
After that you will have an authentic Chinese lunch, and you will also have a short visit to a renowned jade factory outlet, where the process of carving the jade and an array of quality jade products are demonstrated.
In the afternoon, head for Badaling section of the Great Wall. The Great Wall has always been a symbol of China, and its Badaling section is the most popular and the best-preserved one. Built in the 16th century, Badaling still stands firm and had attracted about 370 state leaders to admire its magnificence and beauty. Stroll on the Great Wall and see in person why it lives up to its reputation as one of the Eight Wonders of the World. A cable car up and down the mountain is available and optional at your own expense.
While on the way back to Beijing, you will have a chance to enjoy a Chinese traditional Tea Ceremony, where you will also have a Chinese calligraphy experience. After that, transfer back to your hotel in Beijing at around 5pm.
Definitely one of the best tours we have ever been on.To start with the cost was unbelievably low for such a full day.Our tour guide collected us just before 7 as it was a public holiday and the roads would be packed. We enjoyed the Ming tombs and the guide was very interesting and knowledgeable.At the Jade factory you were not pressurized into buying any of the products and the lunch that was provided was excellent. Additional cost is needed at the Great Wall for the cable car as its very steep!_br/_ The tea ceremony was lovely and we returned to our hotel by 6pm. Highly recommend this trip. Unfortunately I cannot remember the guides name but she was excellent.

Good value for money. Tour guide talks like a native English speaker. Just be mindful of the side trip commercial establishments which entice you to spend more than you planned for.

We were a bit rushed and the guide's English was not great - would have liked more time at the Wall and less in the Jade shop and Tea shop!!

The tour at this price is well worth it! I truly enjoyed myself! The tour guide was a tad bit late in picking me up but the remainder of the trip made up for it. The tombs were beautiful and well preserved and the Great Wall lived up to its expectations! However... I do warn that you should NOT visit these places if visiting in the summertime in China. It felt like all 2 billion Chinese residents were at the Great Wall at the same time!
