Beijing Bus Tour of Summer Palace and Badaling Great Wall

The Great Wall is a breathtaking sight and an awesome experience. It’s a challenging hike from the valley floor to the top rampart but the reward is a spectacular view of the wall snaking for miles over mountainous terrain. Summer Palace is one of the finest landmarks in Beijing, possibly the best example of an imperial garden in China.
Your friendly English-speaking guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby (hotel should be in Beijing city down town)between 7am and 8:30am depending on other customer’s hotel pick-up.
The first stop of the tour is the Summer Palace, the best-preserved imperial garden in the world that boasts centralized architectural masterpieces. The site covers a total of almost 2 miles and incorporates a huge lake within its boundaries and has long been a royal garden and was enlarged during the reign of Empress Dowager Cixi who effectively controlled China for 47 years between 1861 and 1908.
Then we will visit a Jade Carving factory, a famous special Chinese product blend of the excellent skills on carving and Chinese traditional culture. A traditional Chinese cuisine lunch will follow the visit.
The next activity is the Great Wall, the longest piece of architecture in the world, stretching from China’s east coast to China’s western desert. We will visit the Badaling section, the most famous and best preserved walls near Beijing. Its highest point is around 800 meters above sea level, and there is an optional cable car available (at your own expense).
After the visit, you will return to Beijing downtown, where you will have the chance to learn about the Chinese traditional medicine culture. Finishing the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel around 5pm or 6pm, depending on the hotel drop-off order.
