This layover tour requires your layover longer than 8 hours. The time to start your Great Wall tour from PEK airport is between 7:00am and 13:00pm. Your private driver will meet you at exit where is outside baggage claim based on the flight details. Look out for the driver waiting at the customer’s exit with a sign with your name. The tour commences with 1 to 1.5 hours drive straight from the Beijing Airport to the Great Wall at Mutianyu.

Upon arrival at the Mutianyu Great Wall, ascend with a hike up or take the cable car(pay on your own), and enjoy a brisk hike on the wall for an hour or so. Head back to meet the driver for a return trip back to the airport to conclude this 4-5 hours tour.

Free visa tour: You are applicable with free transit visa policy if you will take international flight from one country to another country through Beijing. The visa process is easy and free. After landing in Beijing, please go to get temporary visa from China immigration inspection (international transit) by using your passport, boarding pass to next flight to apply this visa stamp. Then you will be allowed to leave airport for tours and take train to baggage claim (T3-C) to find your driver outside exit B.

Can't fault this personal tour...had a long layover time at the airport so i thought i would fit this in...met downstairs on arrival by my tour guide and we went off to the car with a driver waiting..on the way to the wall she kept me informed on how China has evolved and information on the part of the wall we were going to visit..journey to the wall felt like no time at all and soon we were up on the cable car to the top...she was a very good tour guide answering all my questions in very good English and on the way back back to the airport even offered a short stop at a Tea Shop..however i declined as time was catching me up for my departure and you never know how busy Beijing air might be..Over all i would recommend this tour if you have the time..

A hassle free way to see the Great Wall. company were amazing to deal with, we got stuck in the free visa line and were half an hour late for pick up. The drive to the wall was smooth and the car was very comfortable. Our Driver bruce guided us all the way up to the wall which made it hassle free. Would recommend this to anyone with a stopover wanting to see the Great Wall, a smooth and stressless experience.

Arriving at 5am I had a 10 hour layover in Beijing PEK and hoped I could get to the Great Wall. The hardest part was getting the FREE 24-72 hour visa to get out of the airport. The line was HUGE with 2 people processing. My advice is to get into that line as quickly as possible as it took almost 90 minutes to get my visa. The line is not in an obvious place so be sure to ask for directions so you're not in the wrong line. This company gave me very explicit instructions that helped the process and answered the phone when I was delayed. I finally got through immigration and out of the airport by 8am. My guide, Robert, waited an hour for me and provided a wonderful experience at the Wall. Because it was cold, he had extra jackets and gloves. We arrived at the Wall about 9:30am. Very few people were there at that time and I'm SO glad I was able to do this. TIP: I had a BLAST taking the toboggan down from the Wall! Robert got me back to the airport by 12:30 with plenty of time for my 3pm flight.
