Private 2-Day Beijing Tour: Mutianyu Great Wall, Forbidden City, Summer Palace and Hutong Tour

Having Great Wall as its never-fading name card, Beijing has long been an enchanting destination for visitors from all over the world. In addition to admiring the gorgeous Mutianyu Great Wall, you will learn about the city’s history and culture by visiting the old Hutongs and imperial architectural masterpieces - the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace.

Day 1: Tiananmen Square - Forbidden City - Summer Palace
Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at 9:00 this morning. The first stop today is Tian'anmen Square, the biggest urban city square in the world. Many constructions of great historical importance have been built on and around it. From there you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. Here, you will not only learn how the emperor handled political affairs and lived their lives, but also appreciate numerous ancient art treasures.

Lunch is on your own arrangement with our guide's assistance. Then you will continue to visit the Summer Palace - the largest existing imperial garden with graceful landscape and magnificent constructions. The site is divided into three areas: the area for political activities centering about the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity; the residential area of royal family with main structures the Hall of Jade Ripples and the Hall of Joyful Longevity; finally the sightseeing area mainly consisting of Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill. After that, transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 2: Mutianyu Great Wall - Hutong Tour
Today you will depart at 08:30 and visit Mutianyu Great Wall, which is another famous section of China Great Wall (a round-way cable car is included). Being different from Badaling section, it is much gentler and more elegant in manner. Besides, fewer tourists in Mutianyu will give you much more space and time to appreciate the gorgeous world wonder.

Lunch is not included today. In the afternoon, take a Hutong tour and experience a special rickshaw riding. As an important part of local folk culture, Hutong has recorded the changes of the city. Traveling around the maze of lanes, you will discover a different Beijing city. Then, transfer you back to your hotel.
