This private tour will let you get a thorough understanding of Beijing in three days. Not only you will see some iconic places which represent the old part of Beijing, but also the modern parts of Beijing; interpreted by some art galleries, skyscrapers, modern museums and popular bar streets. You will enjoy a cup of coffee on the 80th floor of the China World Tower while appreciating the beauty of Beijing illuminated at night; dine in a traditional courtyard restaurant at the Ghost Street; walk around Sanlitun which is the most popular bar street in Beijing. Your private vehicle will also drive along the Chang’an Avenue and Tian’anmen Square at night, with many iconic buildings illuminated on either side. Meals and hotel accommodation is not inclusive.

DAY 1: Meet your guide in the lobby and start the tour from Tian’anmen Square which has witnessed some of the most dramatic chapters of China history. You will see the City Planning Hall first, then watch a 3D movie and walk on the module of Beijing city will let you know the evolution and future planning of the city. Then enter the Square to see some of the iconic buildings in Beijing.

Visit the Forbidden City, which was built in 1420 and served as the imperial residence for 24 emperors of China. Your tour also includes a visit of the horologe room where some exquisitely designed clocks are on display.

After lunch time (your guide will make some dining recommendation to you), continue to explore Hutong, the old and narrow city alley way with hundreds of year’s history. You will take a rickshaw and visit a local family to know something about Beijing locals with the Hutong Guide. You will also walk around the Houhai Lake, the most popular pub street in Beijing with a beautiful lake. It was also the place where the high ranking officials in the Ming and Qing dynasties resided.

DAY 2: No trip in Beijing is complete without visiting the Great Wall of China. Mutianyu is a section of the Wall with less tourist, and it was built and restored in the early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The remnants of the Wall originally built in the Northern Qi Dynasty (550-577). You can choose to take the cable car for both ways, or take the chairlift up and toboggan down. 

Go back hotel after lunch and take some rest. Pick up again at 17:30 to enjoy dinner in HuajiaYiyuan (at your own cost), a famous restaurant along the Ghost Street. It is the only street in the city that truly never sleeps. Walk around Sanlituan, a shopping and walking place popular with the elite of Beijing with a famous bar street.

Drive to CBD and enjoy a cup of coffee on the 80th floor of the China World Tower to appreciate the beauty of Beijing illuminated at night. Drive along the Chang’an Avenue and Tian’anmen Square, with many iconic buildings on either side. Your guide will explain the important buildings and the stories behind them.

DAY 3. Visit the National Grand Theatre, an ellipsoid dome of titanium and glass surrounded by an artificial lake. Then go to the Liulichang Street which is known throughout China and the world for its traditional Chinese handicrafts. You will see a series of Qing style buildings, as well as watching painters and calligraphers working their craft.

Enjoy lunch in Jindingxuan (at your own cost), a popular Dim Sum restaurant frequented by superstars in Beijing. Then visit the Lama Temple, originally a palatial residence built in 1694 by Qing Emperor Kangxi for his fourth son, Prince Yongzheng. Continue the tour by going to the Olympic Village, walk around to have an exterior look of the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube, as well as some other iconic stadiums.
