Private 3-Day Family Beijing Tour: Classic Beijing Plus Panda House And Happy Valley Amusement Park

See the highlights of Beijing on a 3-day tour that is designed for families. Visit important attractions such as Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, the Olympics stadiums, and the Great Wall, and enjoy kid–friendly activities including the Panda House, Happy Valley Beijing amusement park, and a dance show. Day 1: (L)
Your tour begins in the morning when your private guide and driver meet you at your hotel. Head first to Tiananmen Square, then have a couple of hours to explore the impressive palace complex of the Forbidden City. And then hike up to Jinshan hill for the bird's view of Forbidden City and Beijing City.

Try Chinese authentic food at a local family's house and learn making dumplings with the locals. After lunch, explore Hutongs by rickshaw ride.  Then take a stroll around Nanluogu Xiang Hutong, which dates back more than 700 years. Local people still live in the district and more than 200 small shops operate there. 

Day 2: (L)
Start your day with a visit to the Panda House in Beijing and watch the pandas eat breakfast. Continue to the World Heritage–listed Temple of Heaven where the Ming and Qing emperors worshiped; in modern times, people enjoy the park next door.

Have a Chinese lunch, then spend the afternoon at the Happy Valley Beijing amusement park, which has six themed zones with more than 40 rides. You’ll also see a Dynasty dancing show in the Great Theater in the evening.

Day 3: (L)
In the morning, head to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, located 1.5 hours drive from Beijing. Spend about two hours sightseeing at the Great Wall, and have the option to ride the cable car part of the way up and take a toboggan ride down.

Have lunch in a local Chinese restaurant near the Great Wall, then drive 40 minutes to visit the Summer Palace. Learn about the elaborate site, which has 3,000 rooms and a huge imperial garden with pavilions, bridges, islands, and temples. As you return to Beijing, pass by the 2008 Olympics stadiums, Bird's Nest (National Stadium) and Water Cube (Beijing National Aquatics Center). Your tour ends with return to your hotel.
