Catch the highlights of imperial Beijing, including two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, in just one day on this 8-hour private tour. Led by your private guide, immerse in Chinese history and culture as you visit Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, and the Summer Palace. Your private guide will meet you in your hotel lobby by 9am.

From here, you'll drive to Tiananmen Square, the world's largest city center plaza and the place where Chairman Mao announced the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Your guide will point out highlights of the square as you walk to the UNESCO-listed Forbidden City, home to China's emperors for almost five centuries, and the best-preserved imperial palace in China. Explore the highlights of its halls, galleries, museums, and gardens as you learn how Chinese emperors and their households lived.

From here, it's another short stroll to Jingshan Park, once an imperial garden. Climb the small hill at the heart of the park for bird's-eye views across Beijing and over the Forbidden City: pose for pictures as you capture the stunning panoramas.

Your guide will recommend a restaurant that suits your tastes for lunch: feel free to request specialties from Beijing duck to dumplings!

After lunch, hop into your private vehicle for the 40-minute drive to the UNESCO-listed Summer Palace. With its stunning lakeside gardens, pavilions, and pagodas, this is the most famous imperial garden in China and possibly the largest walled palace in the world.

You'll leave here a little after 4pm, returning to your hotel by 5pm.
