Beijing, China
Beijing with a history of over a thousand years is rich in cultural heritage and relics. In this private Beijing one day tour, you will visit all highlight attractions in the downtown area, including Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace.
In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel at about 09:00am. Your pleasant trip begins with a visit to the world's largest urban city square, Tian'anmen Square.
Afterwards, you will stroll across the square to its north end, where the Forbidden City is at. Covering an area of about 74 hectares, the Forbidden City is the world's largest and best-preserved imperial palace complex which boasts splendid Chinese ancient constructions and numerous historical relics. You could get some insights about China's feudal hierarchy from the lay-out and decorations of the constructions.
Lunch is at your own cost. Your guide is happy to recommend you some advice about the nice restaurants nearby.
The afternoon sightseeing will start by visiting the Temple of Heaven, which is even larger than the Forbidden City, for it is considered as the dwelling of the heaven in ancient times. Then you will come to the Summer Palace. It is the existing largest royal garden in China, once used as a temporary palace and summer resort by the royal families. Absorbed the architecture styles of south China, north China and even foreign countries, the garden got the reputation of the 'Museum of Imperial Garden'.
After the whole day’s sightseeing, your guide will escort you back to your hotel in Beijing.
Jerry our guide was very enthusiastic despite the bad weather. He taught us a lot about the whole history of Beijing. The Chinese architecture is fascinating. A good guide is a must have if you really want to enjoy the tour.

Our private guide was nice, knowledgeable, and spoke English very well. Had no problem taking all our photos. We were given our own Audi car and personal driver. Make sure to take the dragon boat at the Summer Palace. Be prepared for Beijing traffic. Wear comfortable shoes, lots of walking.

The tour parts of this were excellent, however we were taken to a restaurant which not only was expensive by Chinese standards but also one of the worst on our whole trip.
