HOHO is always a good way to see a lot in a short time. We took several busses so we heard guides with differing options on the past events in Northern Irelands history. Excellent way to spend a day.

We took the Belfast sightseeing tour Friday afternoon 26/7/18 and immediately we knew we had chosen the right tour. Our tour guide ,Rachel, was informative, witty and very honest in her portrayal of the events that have happened in Belfast down through the years. We started the tour in the city center and 2 hours later finished back in the city center with a more informed view of the city and having learned a lot after our trip. From the city center sights to the heartbreaking events of the Troubles, Rachel gave us a matter of fact view of the events that shaped the city. Rachels explanation of the history of the Troubles ,in particular, was unbiased, accurate and more importantly easy to understand, especially for our children aged 12 and 16. We toured the city streets getting all the information of early Belfast up to the present day. 2 hours was not enough. Rachel is a great ambassador for her company and also of Belfast. You could tell she was a very proud Belfast woman and encouraged everybody on board to explore the city and interact with the local people, which we did over the weekend. The bus itself was spotlessly clean and the sights on tour were well worth visiting. I would highly recommend this sightseeing tour

We were off a cruise ship so not a lot of time. This was a great way to get a good overview of the city with information to go along with it. We were up top and could hear the guide without any problems. We were able to spot the places we wanted to return to and some cases got off and back on at a later time. Worked perfectly as advertised.

This activity is highly recommended especially if you will stay in Belfast for two days. It is east to go around the city and see the popular sights and used the same to see the Titanic museum (which is a must). Try to do it twice since the male tour guide who is much older is very good.

Great value for money. Tour guide was extremely informative and interesting. Highly recommend this tour as you get to see a lot more of Belfast than you would just walking round._br/_ Hopped off on the way round at the Crumlin Road gaol and did the tour which was great.

I loved Belfast and this was the perfect way to see it before deciding how to plan your sightseeing options. A small but thriving city, with a fascinating history.

having the 48 hour pass enabled us to organise our 2 day stay in Belfast so that we could visit some of the very interesting sites. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and helped us work out our trips. We toured Stormont which was very grand and although we couldn't go in every room because there were meetings being held, it didn't spoil it. We went on the tour of the Crumlin Road jail which was really interesting. Having lived through the troubles from mainland UK it was weird but wonderful seeing the murals and learning from the tour guides all about the history behind them. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and great value for money.

Great way to get around Belfast. We took this to the Titanic Experience and later rode around to see the city. We were on a Princess Cruise ship. There was a free shuttle into the city, and then the Hop-On/Off bus is 1/4 mile away.

Fantastic tour, much more than a Hop-On Hop-Off bus, which took us all over Belfast and which would have been impossible to achieve on our own in 2 hours. Many thanks to Gavin our brilliant guide, who gave us so much information, with a few jokes along the way. All the staff were very professional and helpful, ensuring my elderly mother-in-law was looked after. If you only do one tour in Belfast, this has to be it. Thank you once again for a thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours.

There is no way of knowing where you can catch the bus or any sort of timetable. None of the bus stops except at the Titanic gave any indication. At one point we were actually standing at the bus stop on the wrong side of the road. On one of the buses someone had been sick and the stench was awful, so we actually got off in Belfast Centre and walked home rather than wait 30mins to get back on. It was a shame that there was no connection between the 2 buses in Belfast centre. We could have got off one bus and onto the other but it pulled out from the stop as we approached and we didn't want to hang around for 30 mins.

Good way to see the city and areas like Shankhill road from top deck of bus. Did whole tour on way to Crumlin Road gaol which was a good way to finish.

Terrible. Not worth the money. Started at 10, they took a break at lunch, tea and stopped at 5. So you were waiting for the bus more than site seeing. Found a lot of negativity in Belfast and the tour guides were grumpy. Now I am going to save my work because for some reason I keep timing out on my negative comments. Hmm

I would not recommend this in Belfast. There is not much to see that cannot be reached by walking or cab. The bus does not run on time and the staff on the bus was rude. Although told that the bus stops every 30 minutes, a large group of us waited over an hour after taking a tour for the bus to arrive. Some of the people waiting gave up and called a cab which arrived faster. I phoned the tour bus company and they said that we were waiting in the wrong spot we weren't .... when the bus finally did arrive where we were waiting I mentioned to the tour guide how long we waited and she was rude and snappy saying Its not my fault if there's traffic. For the remainder of the tour her commentary was not interesting in any way and we all decided we should not have wasted money on this tour.

The bus tour was wonderful....really informative. The only thing is that the pick up places were not clear...we waited for 45 minutes for a bus to come. After the tour we were dropped off in downtown Belfast...not at the point Titanic Museum where we were picked up. We were told that it was the last bus and it ended in downtown Belfast. Might have been more convenient if we knew that ahead of time. We had to take a taxi back to our car.

Although we have been to Belfast many times before we decided to see it with tourist eyes this time! This was an excellent trip and we learned things about Belfast we never knew before. Was well received by all the members of our family, and it was nice to sit and relax for the 90 minutes of the tour

The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of _br/_ Belfast. You could make analogies to what is happening in the US with the troubles in the 90's in Belfast. Though it could be depressing it is an important history lesson. The old adage if you don't learn from history you are doomed to repeat it.

Great tour of Belfast which offers many good sites to explore. Tour is quick enough to see the city in less than 2 hours. The addition of the Green route is a bonus to be able to see the Belfast Castle, Carrickfergus Castle. Well worth the experience.

Tour was great and tour guides very knowledgeable and easy to understand. The only thing that would make it better is if the castle tours had more than one bus so you could stay longer than the time allotted and pickup the next bus back to the city when you're done. One bus up and back is not long enough.

We didn't use this tour as much as we expected to because of time. We spent longer doing other things but it was through doing this tour that we found out you can go inside Stormount and have a free tour which we did. _br/_ The bus tour itself takes you around the main sites of Belfast including the some murals but for an in depth tour of the murals go on the Belfast Mural Tour. _br/_ The tour has a great commentary about the sights you go past and gives you ideas of other places to visit. My only criticism of the tour is that it finishes at 4.30pm so if you have other things booked during the day, which we had, it restricts your time to use the 2 day ticket.

Review by:   Simon H,    July 2016 Review: 4 star rating: Recommended
The bus stops were easy to locate and buses were great. Particularly as it was raining on the day we used them but the bus even on the top deck has an indoor area which was great. Unlike other tours I have used in other cities this one had an actual tour guide giving commentary rather than plugging in a set of headphones. This meant the commentary was much more informative with some great humour! Made the trip very informative and entertaining!

Tour was great and the people really know their stuff. Dialogue was informative and interesting. Directions to pickup spot were very bad. Said the McDonalds by Jury and #39;s. Not even close. McDonalds, yes. By Jury and #39;s, no. It and #39;s more like by City Hall, OR across from the Europa, which is near Jury and #39;s.

Please! Please! Please! Make it clear on the website that Belfast Castle pick up is not on the tour until later on the day and a separate route. My family and I waited for an hour and after calling the given phone number 3 times with no one answering, my parents ended up taking a cab and did not get to experience the tour. My children and I were able to do the tour on the next day but my parents did not since they were flying out. As a result, I lost out on and they probably will not do a Hop On/Off tour.
