This was our first visit to Berlin. I highly recommend doing the Berlin Bike Tour for a first timer. Our guide Felix did a brilliant job showing us around Berlin giving us an amazing insight of the city, introducing us to Berlin life, talking about the east and the west divide etc. Ideal for passionate historians. Excellent bike tour. Its broad scope made it great for getting an introduction to the city. Our guide, Campbell, was personable, engaging, and highly knowledgable. _br/_ Super Nintendo Chalmers, my bike, was of above average quality compared to other bikes I have been issued on tours -- three gears in working order and fully inflated tires are more than adequate for Berlin._br/_ The company offers ponchos for a Euro each which can be returned if they are unopened, which we greatly appreciated.

We had a really great experience on our bike tour of the main sights in Berlin. Our guide, the bonnie Scottish lass, Hanna was really well informed,level headed and witty and shepherded those of us who tended to take the odd wrong turn!_br/_ The going was easy, as the city is quite flat and people obey the traffic signals, so felt safe on the roads and cycleways. We stopped at a lovely biergarten and has traditional German lunch, which was nice and a chance to socialise with other tourists. The spin through the tiergarten was a real highlight._br/_ We were very fortunate that the day was really sunny and we spent around 5 hours outdoors...much better than bus tour!!_br/_ I highly recommend the Fat Tire bike tour!!!

This is probably the best tour you can do on your first day in Berlin. You get a very good overview of the city and see all the important sites without going inside the buildings. So you can note down the ones you'd want to see in detail and come back later. Hanna was a superb guide and a fun person

This was one of the best things we have ever done. Kevin our tour guide and his lovely dog Luba made sure we had a great day. Easy riding on mainly flat roads a couple of slight inclines so quite manageable. Sights along the way were really good and Kevin had a great knowledge of Berlin and its history. I learnt so much about the people and their history. Lunch in the Tiergarten was really good too. Would thoroughly recommend this tour.

Excellent way to see this very vast city. Our guide was knowledgeable, English but from German bheritage. Tour lasted 5 hours with breaks to stop and see monuments and highlights and hear our guide talk about them. Berlin is very flat so no need to be a well tested cyclist. Berliners also have cycle rules so little danger of crashing. Loved stopping in the Tiergarten for dinner and a beer. Would highly recommend. Better than sitting in a tour bus.

Kieran was a great guide, not just in information, but caring about each of the riders in the group. It was good hearing about the history and Kieran was very good at explaining this. Nice idea stopping off at a Beer garden' by the river for lunch own expense. Bike Tours are such a great way to see the sights in a city. We so enjoyed it we went back the next day to hire our own bikes from Fat Tyre half price as we'd been on a tour to explore more parts of the city on our own. Definitely recommend

Best way to see Berlin City in a short amount of time!! Our tour was at 4pm end of Sept 2017. Our tour guide Simon was very informative, humorous, kind and cool. As he was originally from the UK, of course his English was perfect. A great tour to get a good snapshot of the key places of Berlin city in a short amount of time and learn the history and key issues in a fun, well articulated and engaging manner. We cycled to the key places and took photos and learnt about the significance of the places. The bikes were comfortable and easy to ride. Our group of 12 ranged from age twenty to about age 65. By the end of the tour we were all tired as it is a lot of cycling but it is totally doable. _br/_ Please Note: It is a strenuous tour in that it is 4 hours of continuous cycling with 2-5 min of stops for photos. Of course if you have bad knees, bad back, or generally would not be able to do a few hours of cycling then think twice about booking as it is 4 HOURS of cycling through roads, parks, slight inclines etc.It is not difficult but after all it is 4 hours of cycling. Of course plenty of stops to rest and even drink/ lunch break BUT it is slightly strenuous so I wouldnt recommend my 65 year old mum does it as shes not that active and would struggle by the end of it. Berlin is a very cycle friendly city with cycle lanes everywhere, so we were not given helmets. IF you want one you will have to ask for one at start of tour. None of us wore one though and we were all safe and fine and enjoyed our tour immensely. PS. Take your rain jacket because in the evening it did get cold September 2017. Take pack lunch if you dont want to buy a hot meal when the guide stops at a place called the secret garden / Tiergarten. Overall I highly highly recommend this tour as it is THE best way to see the key parts of Berlin city and places you may not otherwise know or be able to make your way to. FIVE STAR 5 from me, highly recommended!

Loved this tour. I am so glad we went twice. We traveled to Berlin without kids the first time and went back two years later with them and booked this same tour. Extremely educational and the lunch place is excellent. We learned about Berlin's history before the current system when it was called Swamp by the Slavs to the WWI, WWII, the USSR occupation and how they suddenly built that wall overnight and kept its people prisoners for 28 years.
