Though the evening was rained out, it was still very educational. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a passion for his country, which was very evident in his want to answer questions the visitors had.

I was alone, so it was a possibility to stay out in the evening and have a pleasant tour and a glass of wine. You get to glimpse places of interest and orientate yourself, especially if you're time is short.

This tour was principally in German which I didn't realize. The commentator did intersperse with some English now and again but he talked so fast I often missed the fact that he'd switched to English. Also it was about 5 in English to 95 of what was said in German. I didn't get much out of this tour other than a scenic view along the canal.

this tour was terrible. even though we booked the tour in English the guide was speaking german and because we told him we didn't understand he would say a couple words in english from the places but ou could barely understand. very dissapointing we even exit the tour early in one of the stops.

Fantastic tour, we did this for our last night in Berlin and it gave us another perspective of the city you can only see on the water. Disappointed in the guides lack of English translation, he talked more about things in German and his translation was a few words and we clearly didn't get the same information.

The cruise itself was lovely and we had a nice evening weather wise, however, I had specified an English tour guide and I could not understand a thing. This guide did throw in an occasional English word here and there but we just had to be content to look at the scenery. Our waitstaff did not speak English either.

There are four things that made this tour less than perfect: _br/_ 1. The location is very hard to find. The signage is very poor. there are several cruise boats and it was frustrating going all around to find it_br/_ 2. As mentioned by others, this boat picks up passengers up-stream. It is supposed to be dinner cruise where you purchase food on deck however there are NO SEATS at which to eat by time it reaches the pickup point. the narration is very hard to understand on the eating level and also hard to see the bridges etc. So moving to the top level is a good idea regardless of seating below_br/_ 3. Once top side the views are beautiful. the narration very clear as one can spot what she is talking about. Altho we did not have anything to eat for 3 hours! they did come up to serve beer. _br/_ 4. The MAIN reason it was not perfect is: after eating everyone comes up top and begins their chain smoking right in front of your seat. It keeps happening no matter how many times you change seats! all are chain smoking and it drifts back into your face. There is NO REASON that this boat does not designate the BACK of the boat on top for smokers. their smoke would drift back off the boat. the front half could be for non-smokers. This would be ideal._br/_ Benefits of the tour are mainly seeing the beautiful canals and elegant neighborhoods that are not visible from spots like Alexandar place with the soviet style buildings. May 14 and it was quite cool on the boat. The cruise is long and you cant count on eating onboard....bring some food or snacks. we could NOT find a restaurant open after the tour.

This tour was such a waste of money. You go up and down the same swathe of river, and it's way too long like three hours. The food was not good--you could get way better / cheaper food at the boat meeting point. The guide also went back and forth between German and English, and maybe the German was better because he got some people laughing, but the English was perfunctory and uninteresting. I would not recommend this trip.

The narrator was absolutely great. In both English and German, he kept it flowing. The views were beautiful from early evening, sunset and then the lights were lovely. Food on board was good. I thought three hours might be too long, but it was a great introduction to Berlin for my friends who aren't so mobile, and can't walk to see these sights. I enjoyed boarding from Friedrichstrasse Reichtagsufer, rather than Jannowitzbrucke. We boarded at 6:30 and were done by 9:30.

This trip was awful, I certainly wouldn't recommend it, the trip was advertised with English commentary available, at the beginning of the trip the guide did speak in English but not far into the trip, he stopped. A guest on the cruise asked the guide to continue in English but it became clear that his English was very limited. He spoke at great length and would then speak very briefly in English, at one point he was saying that there was a red building to the left, a beautiful building to the right etc. I expected much more from this trip.

This river tour was very very nice. We ordered dinner off the menu and it was spectacular. The cost was about the same or cheaper than most restaurants in town. Highly recommend. NOTE: the lady giving the guided tour comments spoke in both German and English, however we had a very difficult time understanding her. Was only able to understand about 20-25 of what she was saying. we are native English speakers

An okay trip which took about 2 1/2 hours. An evening Berlin cruise sounded attractive but there were very few of the main tourist attractions to see. I appreciate that the cruise was a loop and, therefore, difficult to reduce the time spent but there wasn't enough to maintain interest.

I enjoyed this trip and felt sorry for the surviving the commentary as a good proportion of the passengers were very much enjoying their own conversation. What was strange was that I boarded the boat at a landing g stage some 5 kilometres from central.Berlin,which meant the taxi driver could only find it on his Sat nav, there did not appear to be any public transport nearby y. On joining g the boat we found that there were already prove on it who had got on in Fredrikstrassa in central.Bein,the question is if others got on in a more central location, why did I get directed to an out of the way place having to pay 20euros for the taxi, when I could of got more cheaper public transport to a central Berlinocation.

Very informative boat ride. The guide spoke in both German and English so it was very easy to follow along. Seeing the city from the water is a very different experience than walking around. If you are bothered by smoke, you may want to skip the upper deck as smoking both cigarettes and cigars is permitted. You may also want to skip a Friday or Saturday night due to stag parties. We had a very animated stag party which made the hearing the commentary a bit difficult at times.

We were very disappointed with this tour, firstly we were at the second pickup point for the cruise which meant we missed out on the opened air deck. Secondly the river and canal navigated were filthy with rubbish and smelt. Thirdly the sights, especially in the canal, were obscured by the trees, while those on the river could be best viewed on land. The amount of graffiti on the canal walls and buildings was certainly an eyesore. The boat, crew and food were quite good. Overall a very disappointing evening. /p_

Difficult to locate the correct pick up point and when I presented the voucher to the boatman he was not sure if he could accept it. The food was very poor with the only decent dishes on the menu being unavailable. The commentary was very monotonous but there were a few interesting facts. We left the boat early as the stop in the centre of town looked like a better place to find a taxi than the remote station where we had got on the boat.
